Best Dressed Birthday Party - Part One.

Happy May 4th 2015 everyone and Happy Monday - the first one of the month!! It is my birthday today. As of midnight, I am 35 years young. Saying that, kind of sounds like a lot of years, but it is what it is. I have never been one to hide my age. I am proud of my age and proud of whatever experience, growth, wrinkles, gray hairs and everything else I have accumulated with it. So, today, in honor of my Birthday, for the third year in a row I bring you a Special Blog Birthday Party, where a lot of you get to be part of, as well. White Fit+Flare Sleeveless Dress w. Like I mentioned last year in my Special Birthday Post I usually wear a brand-new dress for my Birthday. Today is no exception: this White, Girly Fit+Flare Dress with embroidered flowers is new, an early Birthday Gift from my mamma, from earlier this April. Everything else I wore with it, except my bracelet, are new. Nothing like a Crisp LWD for Spring or Summer for that matter. I love the girly flouncy fit+flare skirt of this one and the gorgeous palettes of flowers in the front, off each side. They are Turquoise and Metallic Gold, embroidered over the white. I added more Floral and pops of Turquoise via my Rose-Print Silky Pumps (I have wanted a pair like these in a long while, I am glad I finally own them). I also added a pop of Coral by pairing my Patent Leather Clutch with Sparkly Statement Earrings. They may be long, but they are very light. The earrings are like pave little doilies. The Gold-tone Cocktail Ring has this light Coral Stone on it. The Rainbow-Colored Pave Bracelet ties in all the pops of Color from this Outfit. I even put on a New Orange-Coral Lipstick. I wore this outfit two days ago, on Saturday for an early intimate little birthday celebration. My husband and I did an early dinner/happy hour of mussels, calamari salad, T-bone steaks, grilled asparagus, cocktails and tiramisu ice-cream cake. "When Ada first approached me about her Birthday celebration, like any great party I struggled over what to wear.... finally I decided on my Mad Maxi which I got to wear for the very first time on Ada's Birthday weekend last year just seemed the perfect dress for this year's celebration.  Winter has been so long and we have suffered without our last seasons favourites far to long.  Whether buying a new dress for her birthday or pulling out an ole favourite, lets just get our party dresses on and celebrate.  This maxi that throws me back to the 70's was a great find at a Canadian Store, Giant Tiger. A great place to find great deals.

I finally found a denim jacket that I love from Target (before it left Canada) and of course a maxi always just seems perfect with a great pair of Converse.
