Minimalistic Sporty Monochrome and your Help Wanted!

First of all I want to super apologize for today's pictures - definitely not appropriate for a blog but I do like the outfit, like ten-fold apology. My little crappy camera fell down and I think it is taking even worse, blurry photos plus I photographed these on a corner with the natural light on my back. With that said, I wanted to ask you a couple of questions/favors today? I am shopping around for two things. I must buy a new camera. I am looking for something decent, maybe a semi-pro one and my budget is $250.00. Any suggestions for me? You can include some links or names of the camera(s) on the comments. An would you suggest EBay too? Secondly, I am also shopping around for a blog designer. There are a couple of you that have made some suggestions for me - thank you. I was looking through Etsy yesterday, too. What are some current or recent, nice and affordable designers you have worked with and have been satisfied with? Please tell me. I appreciate your suggestions and answers to these questions, so very much. Thanks again.
The Minimalistic Sporty Look is IN STYLE this Spring and I am loving it. I have actually loved this type of look a lot, especially since becoming a mom. Slip-on sneakers, wedge sneakers, loafers, boat shoes, Converse and Sperrys usually accompany Skinny Jeans, BF Jeans, Joggers, Leather Pants or Leggings. As far as the top you can do Sweaters, Button-downs, a Plaid Shirt, a Gingham Shirt - another huge trend for Spring 2015, a T-Shirt, or even a Girly Blouse, something Floral, a Kimono over a Tank, etc. Well, I went for a mostly Monochrome Look and styled my Ponte+Faux Leather Skinny Pants with this Soft Merino Black+Gray Sweater in a lovely diamond print and I am wearing my New, Brown, Faux Alligator Slip-on Sneakers which I just got for a steal of a deal: 17 bucks!! I love them. Have you purchased any Slip-on Sneakers for this Spring/Summer? How are you styling them?

  1. I have a Cannon Rebel but it's a few years old. I really need to get a better lens and a remote. This sporty look is so cute on you! I love those slip-ons!

  5. I have a rebel t3 and really like it. You can get a remote too, I feel that helps the clarity of pictures better than the self-timer as the self-timer needs something to focus on to get a clear picture. Good luck!

  6. I bought my camera this past Christmas but it is a little bit more than your budget. My husband did research and we had very good luck with my old SONY camera so we bought another SONY. Sorry I can't help with this topic.

  8. I have a canon rebel T3, before that I had a T1 that was great, I would say check out eBay and see if you can find a good deal on an older model canon rebel, maybe T1 or T2. Love the outfit Ada! I don't have much of a suggestion for blog design personally we self hosted ours through go daddy (we use Wordpress) and purchased a theme. Good luck with your changes!

  10. So cute! Loving the black white and gray sweater! Good luck with the camera search, unfortunately I have no advice on that one... I haven't used a point and shoot in years, but actually did see a review on a canon that was amazing but I don't remember what model!

  11. This post might help: http://citronandguavaberry.blogspot.com.au/2015/03/you-dont-need-dslr-to-blog-bloggers-and.html You definitely don't need to get a DSLR if you don't already have any lenses, but it is what I use. I have a Canon 70D that I upgraded to after my t1i was just limiting what I could do. I'd recommend the Rebel line though - finding a refurbished or gently used body would be a good bet!

  12. Based on all of your recommendations, will you share with us what camera and what blog designer you choose to go with? These are things that I've been thinking about lately and I would love your input!

  13. I have a Canon Rebel T3 which I LOVE. Before that I had a Nikon Coolpix P90 that has an attached lens and flash, so no extra lenses needed. It's a great camera with lots of functions similar to DSLRs, but affordable and pretty easy to use.
Good luck! You're wearing the perfect outfit to go camera shopping, chic and stylish yet comfortable!

  14. Love the argyle sweater! I have a Canon SX280 HS camera, but I would love to upgrade to a DSLR soon. I'd love to learn about photography in more depth, not just for my blog, but just in general.

  15. I love that top. My sister used to have a similar one in blue which I borrowed frequently. Unfortunately I can't help you with your questions because I don't know anything, really really need a new camera also.

  16. Love this outfit and look! I have two pairs of slip on sneakers and love them. I'd have more if I could wear them to work. If you go the DSLR route in a camera you might get a used Rebel in your budget but then you are going to want lenses. Most come with a kit lens that is very limiting once you start learning photography.

  18. I love the outfit first and like you i would have wanted to post the pictures. I love my Canon Rebel and would check EBay, Kijiji, any used list ( pawnshops are awesome pricewise as well). For a Designer I love Ashley with The Grits Blog, totally affordable

  19. on a serious note if you have an Iphone or Ipad they take fab pictures now and you can buy a remote for it for really cheap on ebay

  20. I would def. spend the money on a Canon Rebel. Mine is as old as Autumn as still works wonderfully! I did a lot of looking around for blog designers and spent a little more then I probably should have... but, they did all of the set up and were super quick AND have great design skills: http://www.smittenblogdesigns.com
I really love this outfit on you and the slip on shoes actually look really cute against the black colors.
