For the Love of Plaid for the Holidays.
Starting next week, in honor of the Holiday season, every day I will be showing you an Outfit featuring Plaid. It will be my Festive Plaid Week. So stay tuned. =)
Today, I decided to take the 3 most Coveted Plaid Items of the moment: The Plaid Blanket Scarf, The Plaid Dress and the Plaid Button Down Shirt and style each of them two ways. I kid you not, I want in my closet everything I chose for these Outfits from Clothing to Accessories. So are you wearing some Festive Plaid this season and what are some new Plaid items you have added to your closet? What do you think about the Outfits below?
With the Outfit on the left I went Bold and mixed 4 patterns: Polka Dot Chambray, Plaid/Houndstooth Scarf, Leopard Booties and Herringbone Vest. I chose a pair of Gorgeous Sangria, Coated Skinny Jeans and since Chambray and Leopard are Neutrals (in my opinion) I think it worked. All you need is some double-sided Pearl Studs because the rest of the outfit speaks for itself. With the Outfit on the right I paired the Blanket Scarf with a Cable-Knit Sweater Dress. If you don't own a Burgundy/Sangria Sweater Dress yet, go get yourself one because they are more versatile than you think. The Long Turquoise Pendant pops against it and I added some rich Cognac Booties to finish it off. Both Outfits are pretty casual yet totally put-together and I think the Outfit with the Dress, can even work at a more casual work-place, as well.
The Outfit on the left is styled perfect for work with the Classic Black Pumps, a Sparkly Collar Necklace and some Sparkly Bracelets. Of course the Gray, Tuxedo-lapel Blazer (for a great deal at Target!!) keeps it all elegant and work-ready. However, this Festive Outfit is perfect for a Holiday Party, as well. The Outfit on the right is definitely Edgy-Cool and slightly Bohemian. The Mini-Dress pairs so well and looks Rocker-Chic with the Black OTK Boots, Black Straight Jacket, Winter White Beanie Hat and Matching Tube Scarf. Which of the two looks do you prefer?
For these Outfits I chose a Plaid Shirt whose colors remind me of Christmas 100%: Rich Greens, Reds and Blues. Both of these Outfits are plenty festive, however the left one with the Sequined Skirt is definitely more Dressy, You could wear that to a Holiday Work Party or even to New Year's Eve if you like. Between the Sequined Skirt I paired the Shirt with, the Bib Emerald Necklace and the stack of Bangles I think it is perfectly Dressy. And of course the Booties and Necklace bring out the Burgundy and Green Colors of the Shirt, respectively. The other Outfit is 100% my style since I love and wear a lot of Oxford Shoes and Colored Skinny Pants. My favorite are the Olive ones, so I paired the Shirt with Versatile, Neutral Olive Skinnies. I jazzed it up with a Flower Statement Necklace and Simple Flower Stud Earrings that match quite well with the Necklace. I may or may have not worn a replica of this Outfit myself, a couple of days ago lol.
I love that you are doing a week of plaid outfits, Ada! What a great idea. The third outfit is my favorite with the plaid shirt + sequin skirt. =)

ReplyDeleteLoving all these outfits Ada, I would love to try them all out :)
ReplyDeleteLike how you're mixing plaid with a sequin skirt Ada. I have to admit, as much as I love plaid I only have one shirt in it. I must get a plaid blanket scarf before they go out of style!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I love all of these outfits! Plaid is so versatile! I want that dress!
