Vests, Fall Trends and 2 IT Colors for Fall 2014.

I have heard of the crazy cold weather almost all the US states (including gorgeous Hawaii, even) are currently having and all the snow too. That has not been the case in my Mediterranean side of the world. Actually we have had a pretty mild October and November. I haven't even switched out most of my closet from Summer yet. I do however, leave out (always in my closet) some pieces that can work for mild cool weather like light sweaters, a few vests, some jeans, some pants, button-down shirts and some vests. So, the Outfits today are how I have been layering lately for a weekend day or two. They both have something in common: a Vest. Though the first is a Sweater Vest and the second is a Puffer Vest. What else they have in common is that they feature two of the Hottest Colors for this Fall - Royal Blue (first outfit) and Cognac (second outfit), so I am linking up for the 3rd Day of Pantone with Royal Blue and the last day which will be Cognac (tomorrow).
So, first things first - I caved and bought some joggers. This was an easy trend for me to fall into since I love Fun Pants and Comfy Clothes. This Gray Tweedy Cropped pair is by H&M and I love them. This was my first time wearing mine, literally a day after I got them (about 10 days ago). I paired them with my Black Leather Booties (since they are a cropped, ankle-length), my Hoodie Sweater Vest and a Black/Gray/Royal Blue Baseball Tee which ties together all the colors of this Outfit. What do you think? Do you own any Joggers yet?
Royal Blue, Crocheted Vest w/ Military Buttons on the Shoulders: Armani Exchange (sweater vest option), (gorgeous belted version, love this), (fleece option, best deal, love this), (quilted option, great deal, love this).

Then, for the first time this Fall I styled one of my many Puffer Vests. I am once again wearing an Animal, Statement Sweater with a Puffer Vest, Blue Jeans and a pair of Cognac, Studded Boots. I layered a Baby Blue Plaid Button-down underneath my Sweater for warmth and of course a little Stylish Detail because Plaid is the biggest trendy pattern for Fall and also added my Brownish-Gray Faux Fur Scarf. I kept the Outfit pretty Neutral in different shades of Blues and Browns, with the Light Oatmeal/Cream Sweater breaking the colors a little bit. What do you think? Yep, I pretty much copied this outfit, because when it works it works and these type of outfit is most definitely my style.
Baby Blue/White/Periwinkle/Olive, Plaid, Long-Sleeve, Button-Down Shirt: Aeropostale (very similar, great deal), (similar by Levi's, best deal, love this), (similar in longer length, love this), (gorgeous option by Madewell, Splurge).
Camel/Cognac, Faux Leather Suede Boots w/ Bronze Studs & Grommets: DSW (similar by Frye, Splurge, love these), (similar, best deal), (similar, on sale, love these).

And of course my Boots are perfect Fall Footwear to link up with Bri for this month's Third Thursday theme.

  2. Royal blue is a Pantone color of the year? Where have I been? It's my signature color! Your vest caught my eye because of it and it's simply gorgeous! Great ensembles, both. I'm a true believer in the vest as a must-have completer item. Every closet needs at least five. :D

  7. Wait, you don't live in the US? I don't know why I always assumed you did...haha What country are you in? Wherever you are, I'm definitely envious of your weather. We're having close to record lows here in NJ (ie. freezing...literally). I am not ready for the cold yet :) I love those grey jogger pants! They look so comfy and cool! Really nice, Ada!!
