1: Olive Maxi Dress with Bronze and Orange Accents.
Hello everyone!! Happy Hump Day and Happy September!! There are 4 more months left till a New Year, hard to believe. Thanks to everyone who posted, commented and wished me a Great Vacation on my latest - the Labor Day post. We had to cut our Vacation short. Instead of 6 days, we only stayed 4 due to really bad weather. =( Out of those 4 days, only 3 were spent under the sun and by the sea, swimming, tanning and such. Oh well, better a few days of Vacation than nothing at all.
I finally have my first outfit of my Summer (late Summer) 30 for 30 Challenge for you today. IRL today I am wearing the 13th Outfit. All the pictures of the items I selected to remix are on my other lap-top and I don't have time for that now, but by the time I have my next post I will show you all my 30 pieces and my "rules" about this challenge and we will be picking up things along the way, with some Two-fer posts, so hopefully I can show you ALL 30 Outfits within September, though most likely there will be more than 30, just like last time I did a 30 for 30 challenge, back in Spring.
Anyway, today's Maxi Dress is one of the 2 Dresses I included this time around. I am in love with the Beautiful Olive Color, the shorter length (which makes it perfect for the Gladiator Sandals I chose and in the Fall for Booties, also) and the silky Material. It is the kind of Dress that can totally be dressed up or down and since I have a couple of Dressier events to attend this September, I included it in the mix. I dressed down this Maxi my first time ever wearing it (it is new). The Bronze Gladiators and my Orange+Gold Statement Jewels were the perfect accessories for this Dress. I even kept the Accessories in those Rustic Autumn Colors, giving my first Outfit of this edition of the 30 Remix Challenge an early Fall vibe. What do you think? The cost of this Outfit - minus the Sunglasses - is under 70 bucks. Ayana and Keren know a great deal too well. They featured my Floral Romper, as their favorite look from last week's "Thrift Sisters" link up which is a weekly link-up on Wednesdays about being thrifty and staying on budget, because being stylish doesn't have to cost a fortune! That just made my day so Thank you very much, ladies!!

ReplyDeleteAw, darn! I am so bummed for you that your vacation was cut short, BUT at least you did get some good days in there! We had one day of rain when we were in Destin and it almost messed up our prof. pics! I was a nervous wreck, BUT it all worked out. I really think the olive color in that dress looks so good on you! Olive is supposed to be really hot this fall, so I am sure it will be a great piece to transition into the fall.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress! I love how the colors in your jewelry pop against it! That's too bad your trip was cut short, but I'm glad you had a good time :)
