The 6 Remix: Nautical Casual Summer Looks.

Hello Ladies and Happy Thursday! Can you believe it that we are one week into August yet? Yeah. Me neither. I tried to get Today's Post in by yesterday, but this type of post where I show you Several Outfits I have remixed together, is indeed very time-consuming. And this month Vivian is off from day-care so this is coming a little later than when I normally post - oh well. I am bringing back "The 6 Remix" which I usually write/post on the 6th of each month. I basically take 6 items of clothing (usually excluding shoes) and make 6 Outfits out of them, or take one item of clothing and show that item into 6 different outfits. So anyway, here is The 6 Remix for August.

Last time I showed you a Fresh 6 Remix was back in February, where I collaborated with Inge and together we each showed you 3 Looks using our Olive Green Skinny Pants. Then in March, I pulled back from the archives and showed you ways I had styled my Chambray Shirts for Fall and Winter. In April, I did my very first 30 for 30 challenge (Spring edition) so I skipped the 6 Remix altogether. Then in May, I actually did remix 6 Outfits using 5 items of clothing and one pair of shoes, but I never got around to posting them in the blog. This Summer (June/July) I have been so busy to write the 6 Remix Posts, plus I started the "Mom Wear to Work Wear" Series back in June, where I take one item of clothing and use it into 2 different Outfits, once in a Casual Mom Look and then as a Dressy Work Look. So yes, indeed I have been remixing my closet despite not being able to show a "6 Remix Post" each month.

Since it is Summer I figured this month's 6 Remix would focus on Shorts. I love a good stripe and a Pretty Nautical Look so that is the direction I took with this. I picked 6 Clothing items that would mix+match well together. I chose 2 pairs of Shorts (a pair with anchors on them; a pair striped), 3 Tops (an eyelet tee, a color-blocked peplum tank and an anchor/striped graphic tee) and a Navy Romper. With these 6 pieces I was able to create 7 instead of 6 Outfits. I didn't want to mess with too many shoes so I chose my Silver Gladiator Sandals and my Red+White Striped Lace-up Wedges. I figured both of these pairs of Sandals would work well with the Clothes I selected. Everything was in the Blue, White, Coral and Red Palette with a touch of Mint. Of course I used some Jewelry and Belts with some of the Outfits. These were all worn in the last few days, actually I wore the last outfit, just yesterday.
