Dressing Up Black Shorts for Day and Night.
Despite having a lot, a loooot of clothes and trying to give them all (or at least most of them) a chance to be worn, my everyday style and life-style is a lot about remixing what I have in my closet, as well. During Summer, especially as a SAHM, one item I am wearing often is a pair of Shorts. You have seen me wear my Shorts in several Casual Outfits this Summer. But lately I took my Black Dressy Shorts and decided to match them with Dressy Tops as well. I came up with a Day Look and an Evening Look, which were both worn sometime last week. I forgot to photograph my bag but I carried the same Black Purse which had a small shoulder strap not a cross-body (similar to this or this). So instead of a "Mom Wear to Work Wear" post this week, I am showing you this Remix Post of Dressing Up my Black Shorts. This pair is from The Limited. They are a Light Wool-blend. They don't keep you hot at all. They have the crease on the front of each leg and a tab waist with 3 buttons. I also own some Bermuda-length Black Shorts, Short Chino Black Shorts and a pair of Draw-string Linen ones.
For the Day Look I dressed up the Shorts with my fitted Silver/Black Floral Brocade Tank Top from White House Black Market and my Silver/Black Beaded Wedges which matched perfectly. I added a Long Purple/Gold Snake Pendant Necklace (playing off the 2 Metallics), some Blue Studs and a Beaded Red/White/Navy/Baby Blue Bracelet. I added some Bright Red Lipstick and kept my eyes simple, just with some mascara. The hair was up in a pony-tail because it was hot and I was running errands with Vivian in tow, so that was that.

I added some Bling Bling Long Crystal Earrings, a couple of Black+Gold Bangles and even wore my Red Butterfly Cocktail Ring. My Black Patent Leather Pumps added to the Dressy Evening appeal. I put on some Bright Coral Lip-gloss and a little Smoky Eye and did my hair in a High Sock Bun a little off to one side.

And speaking of Shorts, you will see several more of them remixed throughout this month. And late on Wednesday I am bringing back "The 6 Remix". Stay tuned and thank you for stopping by. =)
