Two-fer Monday: Brown Cowl-neck Sweater, Twice, No Longer Neglected.

I like doing two-fer posts. Of course I have my 6 Remix on the 6th of each month, but two-fer posts are easier and are not for the purpose of a challenge. They are usually outfits I have worn not too many days apart from one-another, where at least one item of clothing is repeated. They show you two different ways to wear something. But I think the best two-fer posts are those showing you the same item in two completely different ways. For example daytime and night-time, casual mom day style or career woman work style. Today, I am doing just that with my Cowl-neck Brown Sweater. Which is also perfect for the new Link-up "Many Days, Many Ways" hosted by Danielle and a couple of her Blogging Buddies, starting this Wednesday. Of course, it is also "Mix it Monday" day over at Lauren's Blog. Also, in an effort to wear many pieces who have been ignored far too long in my closet, I am considering this week "No Longer Neglected" made very popular by my blogging buddy Kate (who is currently doing this challenge this month, on her blog.) Well, today I am no longer neglecting this Sweater and my Dressy Pants.
So, this Sweater is quite simple yet edgy enough in itself. I love the Rich Chocolate Brown Color, the pyramid studs on the neckline and the little patent leather buckle detail on the chest. I wanted to show you the Sweater on a Daytime, Non-work Outfit (perfect for a Mom like me) then later on a Daytime, Work/Business Outfit. Though a lot of businesses nowadays are quite Business Casual and even the first Outfit would work. The first Outfit is quite Utilitarian Chic. I am wearing the Popular Geometric trend in my Skinny Pants, even trendier because they are Black+White. I have on my Black+Leopard Loafers by Sperry. For something Fun, I added a Feather, Pom-Pom & Chiffon Bow Headband to my hair. My "Love" Cross-body Bag goes perfectly well and between the Bag, Shoes & Pants I have some subtle Pattern Mixing going on. I also added a Long, Pastel, Crystal Beaded Necklace. For the Work/Business Look, I could have gone the Skirt route and worn either a Pencil Skirt or a Circle Skirt with this Sweater, adding some Fun-Patterned Tights. I can see that ensemble work in my head. But I knew the Skirt would automatically dress it up. Since I haven't worn Dressy Pants or Trousers in ages it seems like, I wanted to pair the Sweater with some Nice Pants in a similar Color for a Chic, Monochromatic Look. I kept the same Necklace on (since it pairs so well with this Sweater), added some Metallic, Closed-toe Wedges, some Red Lipstick and even carried my Large Red Michael Kors Bag. I tell you what, I quite like Brown+Red together. I wore the first Outfit today during the day, and the second later this afternoon/evening, yes I wore them in real life. =) What do you think of these Simple but Chic, Neutral Looks featuring my Cowl-neck Sweater?
