Pinned it and Did it: Gray Sweatshirt, Dark Skinnies and Plaid Scarf.
A few months ago I got Pinterest - I know I joined real late. I have been pinning so many Looks that inspire me and that I perhaps want to re-create one day. I also pinned a lot of Christmas ideas. You can find me under Ada Furxhi. Anyway, with my Pinterest Board full and a separate folder on my lap-top filled of Great Outfits, it is about time I do a "Pinned it and Did it" post, again.
This time my inspiration comes from SARAH of Tucker Up whose blog I discovered a few months ago. She is a very pretty newlywed who always does casual, sporty outfits to perfection. That is exactly how this Outfit came together. Effortless, chic, casual at its best yet put-together. But I didn't have a plain Gray Sweatshirt or Cognac Short Boots with a Thick Heel (I do have Cognac Tall Boots with a Thick Heel however). To re-create it, I decided to pair my Statement Sweatshirt from Old Navy and my Camel, Studded Short Boots. I also wore a darker Tee to layer the Sweatshirt with, Sunglasses and a very similar Red/Green/Blue Plaid Scarf. How do you like the Outfit I came up with? Does it look close to the original?
I tried to pose similarly, too.
Magenta, Crew-neck, Long-Sleeve, Nylon-Stretch Tee: White House Black Market.
Heather Gray "Love Ever Lasting", Long-Sleeve Sweatshirt: Old Navy (New).
Red, Green+Blue, Plaid, Wool Scarf: Thrifted (New).
Dark Navy, Skinny Blue Jeans w/ Zippered Ankles: The Limited.
Oval-Shaped, Olive Green, Plastic Sunglasses: Old Navy.
Camel/Cognac, Faux Leather Suede Boots w/ Bronze Studs & Grommets: DSW (New).
I wore this Pinterest-Inspired Outfit yesterday. I have been telling you guys that we have had days where it has gotten as warm as 60-62 degrees here. However, on the shade is a lot colder and much windy. I wanted to go out just wearing the Sweatshirt, but last minute I added the Puffer Vest. It is one of my newest items in my closet. I thrifted 3 New Puffer Vests and I cannot wait to wear/style them. I have pinned so many Outfits with Puffer Vests. Anyway, it's good I wore the Vest because it kept me warmer. The day before I wore a very thin outfit and last evening I got fever, high temperature and such. I am still sick today. =(
Bright "Nature" Green Puffer Vest: Thrifted (New).
P.S. Linking up with Heather, Lulu, Lena+Rachel, Christina and Tara.
HAPPY WEEKEND!!
