Mom's Winter Must Haves: Leggings and Boots. And Join Our First Link Up.

Today is the 8th and last week that LAURA from I Do CeClaire and I are doing our Mom's Winter Must Haves. For me, this is the Best because we are featuring Leggings and Boots or Booties. Every woman should have several pairs of these for Winter. Everyone that knows me well and who follows or reads this blog regularly knows how much I love my Leggings and Boots. Case in point, several posts in the last week alone feature both Leggings and Boots. To finish off our Awesome Series, we decided to do a Link Up as well. So you can link up any of your Favorite Winter Outfits you have worn lately, it doesn't have to be Leggings or Boots.
This week Laura Styled not one but two Pretty Dresses with her Boots. For her Casual Look she layered her Leggings with a Striped Sweater Dress (every woman should own one) and to make it more Casual the White Boot Socks and Nude Slouchy Boots work well. They also play off the Neutral Stripes of the Dress. For her Dressy Look, Laura styled a Little White Dress with a Jacquard Blazer (I am in love with), Knee-High Boots with a little heel and a Gorgeous Crystal Necklace. Her Curls are Playful and Fancy. She finished off this series with a bang, looking Great both times. To see the details of her Outfits, check out her Blog Post, Today.

For my Casual Outfit I wanted to wear my Newest Leggings. Yes, another pair of Velvet Leggings. They are Comfy, Colorful, Cute and in a Fun Fair Isle Print. Red, Black+White is always a Great Color Combo, too. I am bringing out the Red from the Leggings through my Sweater. It was cold for just a thin, Elbow-Sleeve Sweater though, so I added a thick Nude, Velvet Blazer. The Boots I am featuring in my first Outfit are Above-the-Knee, Taupe, Riding Boots. They look like a sister pair to Laura's from her second Outfit. The Dark Brown Cross-body Bag mixes well with the Boots and adds another dimension to the Layers I have going on. Then I have on some fun Crystal Earrings and a Mixed Metal, Tiered Chain Necklace. Hope you like the Outfit. How are you wearing your Leggings this Winter? Have you picked up a Velvet pair? They are Comfortable and Warm. Do you wear Flat, Riding Boots? How do you like Over-the-Knees Boots?

For the Dressy Look I wanted to feature Booties. I believe they are little gems when it comes to dressing up your Winter Dresses and Pencil Skirt Outfits. They keep your ankles warm, and ones with High Heels are also great replacements for your Pumps and Stilettos. Mine are Leather Suede with little cone heels, in a Maroon Color. The Orange Dress hadn't been worn since my Pregnant days if I remember correctly. I am glad to bring it out of the closet. I wore this last Friday Night for a Double Dinner Date with another couple. The Chiffon Floral Belt is the Star Accessory here. I also added some Fun Beaded Bracelets. I went without a Necklace and simple Pink Studs to bring out the Pink from the Belt. How do you like the styling of my Booties with the Dress? Is this Outfit Dressy enough for a Friday Night Dinner? Do you like Orange? How are you wearing Booties this season?

And I figured since we are at the end of this Journey, I would do a quick recap of our Mom's Winter Must Have Series.
Week 7 (Today).
I had so much fun doing this series with Laura who was such a great co-host to work with. We even took turns doing the collages which was another fun little element of this challenge. Overall I think her Outfits were better than mine. She styled several Great Dresses. My favorite Winter Must Have was the Fair Isle Cardigan from week 3. I love how I styled it, too. My Favorite Must Have of Laura's is her Fun Patterned Coat which she styled perfectly. My Favorite weeks overall for both of us are 5 & 7. My Least Favorite Week for me is the 1st week. Totally uninspiring. Which was your Favorite Look from our Series? Did we do a good job with this challenge? Would you like to see similar series in the future? Let me know your honest opinion, please. And if you made it this far into the post, Thank You so much for reading along.

P.S. Linking with Elizabeth, Alison, Sarah, Lindsey, Shanna, Melaina and Bethany.
