Mom's Winter Must Haves: Puffer Vests.

This week LAURA from I Do DeClaire and myself are back for our second installment of Winter Must Haves for Moms. Today's item is Puffer Vests and out of all the Must Have Items we will bring you in this series, this has got to be one of Our Favorites. Laura has already a great collection of Puffer Vests (and she has shown you a lot of them on her blog, already), while I am still working on mine. ;-) Last week we styled Cozy Sweaters and Sweater Dresses. We will be taking next week off to celebrate Christmas but we will be back with our feature on a New Year, on January 1st. We have lots more Fun Outfits to show you, featuring our Must Haves so stay tuned.
Like I said we love Puffer Vests. But, seriously it is crazy how much alike we thought in styling our Vests this week, since we both chose Jeans, Cardigan Sweaters & Button-up Shirts (layered under the Cardigans). Laura's Vest adds a great pop of Bright Color to these gray Winter days. She added more Color via her Paisley Cardigan (which I love). Dressing up these Bright Colors, she stuck with Dark Jeans on the bottom and the cutest pair of Cognac Oxford Booties that have a slight wedge. Read more about Laura's Outfit here, and look at all of her Gorgeous Outdoor Photos, too.

For my Outfit I chose some Distressed, Light-Colored,  Bell-bottom Jeans and kept the Colors Light & Pastel on top to balance the Dark Navy Color of my Puffer Vest. The Cardigan is in a very Soft Blush Pink while the Button-up is in a Pastel Melon Color, the exact same color of that Statement Necklace. And, as you may notice I switched Shoes. I started off with my Plum/Purple, Suede, Peep-Toe Wedges at first and switched in my Grape/Purple, Bejeweled Ballet Flats, since they ended up being more comfortable for all the walking & shopping we did that day. I saved this Outfit since from late October this year because I forgot to pack with me this Vest or my other Puffer Vest, when I flew back to Europe. I wore this for a day of Shopping with my Mom & Vivian and it was so cold that day so the Vest definitely was needed.

This Puffer Vest has been in my closet for about a decade give or take, as have the Cardigan & Button-up Shirt. I also have another Irreversible Puffer Vest (Black in one side & Hot Pink on the other) which I have had for over a decade and worn very little. It goes to show you that styles come and go. Though, I think Puffer Vests are considered more Trendy now than 10 years ago. I want to add a White and a Herringbone or Tweed one to my collection. But first I have to convince my Mom to mail both of these to me. =D What do you think of this Simple, Layered Outfit? Do you like Puffer Vests? Are you wearing them this Winter? Are they a Must Have for your Closet?

  8. I wasn't a fan of puffer vest until I found ones that were so puffy. They are perfect for the not so cold winters we have here in Southern California. Both you styled it beautifully.
