Guest Post: Ashley of Le Stylo Rouge - 3 Ways to Wear Leather.

Hello Ladies. As you are about to read this, I am about to board a plane from Michigan to Washington, from Washington to Vienna & from Vienna to Tirana. That means my 3 months + 3 weeks vacation to USA is over. It was a nice, long vacation/visit back home to my Parents, My Brother & the rest of My Family. I had a great time. I did a lot of shopping both for Vivian and for myself. I got my husband a few things. I am bringing a few gifts over for my in-laws, and over all I had a fabulous time. But all great things must come to an end. Tomorrow around 3.00 PM DST (Albanian's time) I will be back home in Albania. Today I have the Tall, Beautiful & Super Stylish Ashley (whose blog I love) taking over my blog. And she prepared a great post, too. Here she goes.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone, I’m Ashley and I blog over at Le Stylo Rouge. Ada kindly asked me to do a guest post for her on a topic of my choice. I decided to share some ways to work in a big fall + winter trend: leather.

No worries if real leather isn’t your thing; faux and vegan leather have come a long way since the days when “pleather” didn’t have the best connotation. You can now purchase faux leather that gives off an authentic vibe.

A Leather Jacket

What girl doesn’t love a leather jacket?
I’m a jacket fanatic, and this year I’ve added a leather jacket with super sharp shoulders and quilted detail to my collection. It’s such a cool, edgy piece. I kept the rest of the outfit pretty basic: a white tank, faded black skinnies, black patent slingbacks, and a few gold necklaces.

Leather-look Denim

Waxed or coated jeans made to look like leather can really spice up your denim wardrobe. Who wouldn’t feel just a bit hardcore wearing a pair of leather pants? And when they’re as easy to wear as a pair of jeans, you get the best of both worlds.

Pleated Leather Skirt

If you would’ve told me a year ago that I would be shopping for leather skirts, I would’ve raised a skeptical eyebrow. Leather skirts? Pleated leather, at that? No way.
Fast forward to fall 2013, and leather skirts are everywhere. I’ve purchased several versions (a mini, a pencil skirt, etc.) but have really fallen hard for this pleated leather skirt. I bought it a size bigger so that it wouldn’t be quite so short, and this meant I could work it into my office outfits. A simple blouse in a neutral color, nude pumps, and a high ponytail finish the look.

Happy outfitting!

  1. I've been loving all the leather, too! I have a leather pencil skirt on my way to me. I buy skirts a size bigger too sometimes so they are longer!
