A Bright Skirt that brings some Bright Memories.
Today, I am wearing one of the oldest Skirts I own. This is Vintage Limited from Summer of 1999 - the year I started shopping & loving The Limited. The picture doesn't do the Skirt justice because it truly is Pretty & Cool. It is this smooth Satin in the Brightest, Prettiest shade of Hot Pink. It is a size 4 however back then sizes ran smaller so it fits like a size 2 - for that I am shocked it still fits (though I had to put it a little high-waisted). And, back in March of 2004 I wore this Skirt with a light Pastel Cashmere V-neck Sweater to celebrate our Engagement Party with friends. I have also worn this Skirt to work several times, to a couple of Christmas parties, etc. This Skirt has some fun memories but this is the last time I am wearing it. I am letting go of it because it is kind of Small and because I have to purge my huge closet.
I paired Fuchsia with this Taupe/Mushroom Color this time. I am not sure the combination works - it is my first time trying it - but it doesn't look so bad after all. I wore this Outfit during an evening, welcoming guests at home, that came to see Vivian & I, since we are back in the States. I have several Sequined Tank Tops from Express and this one has the Swirly, open-circle Sequins which are placed together looking like branches of a tree. The Bronze Sandals sort of match the Tank perfectly. And I paired this outfit with super-simple Silver Jewelry. I love and own a lot of Jewelry from White House Black Market. They are usually known for Bold, Elaborate, Sparkly, Fun Jewelry & their Beautiful Statement Necklaces. But sometimes they make such Simple, Beautiful pieces that still stand out. This Necklace & these Earrings are 2 favorite pieces in my collection. Do you like them? Do you like this Color Combo together? Be honest - what do you think? I do appreciate all of your feedback.

I think it is hard to let go of pieces in your closet that hold many good memories like this skirt! I do like the more subtle taupe with the bright fuschia.

Yes, I feel if the items fit. If they are not worn out, torn or in bad shape. And, if they are still Stylish, one can rock them. Why not. =)
