White, Sleeveless Button-Down Shirt - 7 Different Ways.

Today, I am doing something I have never done before. I took one item of clothing and styled it several ways - 7 ways to be exact. When one of my Favorite Bloggers Heather first told me about this challenge that Stylish, Put-Together Audrey put out there for all her readers & bloggers to do, I was excited & happy to participate. For the past 5 weeks Fellow Mom Agi and myself put together a Series called "Mom's Must Have Summer Items" seen here. We chose a few must-have Summer items like a Plain White Tee, Shorts + a Maxi Dress and showed different ways to wear them. I decided to show a Day look & an Evening Look. It was fun coming up with those but today I have a lot more looks I came up with One Single White, Button-Down Top. I really pushed the Fashion Limits on this one and it was time-consuming too though very much Fun.

I chose a Sleeveless, White Button-Down Shirt which to me should be a Staple in a Woman's Closet. Besides having a White Button-Down with Sleeves, especially for Summertime - a Sleeveless one is good to have also. It can transition into every season and would be great to layer with, at an air-conditioned office or for colder months. Because it is sleeveless, it won't make layering too bulky either & it won't keep you too hot when you have a Cardigan or another layer on top. I like that I chose this White Top because the buttons are hidden inside the front tab.

As you can see, I managed to wear this Shirt in 7 different ways that can go from Casual to Going Out, from Lunch to Work. I tried Shorts, Pencil Skirts, White Jeans, Crops & a Full Skirt with it. I notice that I wore Neutral-Colored Shoes with each Outfit (that was not done on purpose) but Neutral does indeed go with anything. At this point I even consider Leopard - a Neutral, a Basic. To see the collages bigger, just click on the pictures. And now, let's see each outfit in detail. =)

Dressing Up Girly Shorts (A Summer Outfit).

In the first Outfit I wore this White Shirt with Cute, Girly, Floral, Cobalt+White Shorts. I dressed up these Shorts with Nude, Butterfly Wedges, Cobalt+White Bangles & a White Daisy, Statement Necklace that I recently purchased. I kept my hair down. Between the length of the Shorts, the Silky Bow Belt, the Statement Necklace & the slight height of the Shoes I felt Fun & Dressy in this.
White, Button-Down, Sleeveless, Poplin Shirt: Express.
Cobalt+White, Floral Shorts w/ Cobalt Blue Bow, Sash Belt: Express.
Off-White Statement Necklace w/ Big Daisy Flowers: Apartment 9 (Kohl's) (New).
Cobalt Blue Plastic Bangle & Cobalt+White Stripped Bangle: Forever 21.
Real Gold Chain Bracelet: Gifted.
Pastel Lavender+Baby Pink Rhinestone, Butterfly, Silver Drop Earrings: Avon.
Nude, Strappy, Cork-Wedge Sandals w/ Butterfly in the Middle: Payless.

Faking a Suit for Work Wear (A Spring or Summer Outfit).
In this Outfit I am doing a Classic Black+White Look by faking a Suit with a Blazer & a Skirt. This is not just any Blazer. It has a Mandarin Collar, some Military detail & Silver Buttons while the Pencil Skirt has a built-in, Asymmetric Silk Band with some Asymmetric Ruching & little Pleats on the front. They are 2 different materials but they work. I kept this Outfit Fun by adding some Bling with my Chandelier Earrings & a little Girly Necklace. Plus I added some Neutral Shoes which have High, Wood Heels.
White, Button-Down, Sleeveless, Poplin Shirt: Express.
Black, Cotton Blazer w/ Mandarin Collar & Military-Style, Silver Buttons: White House Black Market.
Black, Light Wool-blend Pencil Skirt w/ Asymmetric Ruching on the Front: Bebe.
Dainty Necklace w/ Small Black & Silver Beads: White House Black Market.
Long, Dangly, Silver-Beaded, Chandelier Earrings: White House Black Market.
Real Gold Chain Bracelet: Gifted.
Nude, Leather Sandals w/ Dark Wood, Thick Heels: Nine West.

Dressing Down Everyday Shorts (A Summer or Early Fall Outfit).
In this Outfit I dressed down the Shirt by wearing more Casual Shorts in an Olive Green Color & an Elbow-Sleeve, Hoodie Pullover in Gray & Baby Pink Stripes. But the Outfit is still Girly enough & somewhat Dressy since I added a Colorful Bubble Necklace, Cute Beaded Sandals and Red Lipstick.
White, Button-Down, Sleeveless, Poplin Shirt: Express.
Gray+Baby Pink Stripped, Elbow-Sleeve, Hoodie Pullover: Old Navy.
Olive Green, Cotton Shorts: Old Navy.
Teal/Mint Bubble Necklace: Apartment 9 (Kohl's) (New).
Real Gold Chain Bracelet: Gifted.
Pewter, Neutral-Metallic, Beaded, Thong Sandals: Old Navy.

Layering with Leopard (A Fall Outfit).
In this Outfit I am loving the Rich Browns & Camels. They definitely make me feel Fall. I love that I layered a Simple Leopard Hi-lo Tee & tucked the White Blouse into My Dressy Cropped Pants (love the Belt that comes with them). I added more Leopard through Simple Drop Earrings & some Fun Pumps.
White, Button-Down, Sleeveless, Poplin Shirt: Express.
Brown/Beige/Black, Light Cotton, Hi-lo, Leopard, Boat-neck Tee: Forever 21.
Camel, Dressy, Cropped Pants w/ a Braided Leather+Metallic, Twisted-Loop Belt: The Limited.
Light, Leopard-Print, Rectangle Sea-Pearl, Drop Earrings: Ann Taylor.
Real Gold Chain Bracelet: Gifted.
Leopard, Faux Suede, Pointy Pumps: Charlotte Russe.

Work-Ready, Bright Pencil Skirt & Cardigan (A Spring Outfit).
In this Outfit - which I can see working for Work, for both Spring & Summer (actually all 4 seasons despite being so Bright) - I paired a Fuchsia Tweedy, Pencil Skirt with a Stripped Fuchsia/White Long Cardigan. I tucked in the Blouse & left the Cardigan un-buttoned but I also wanted to show you that you can do a couple of the buttons and it will still look Polished. I added My Patent Leather, Nude Pumps & my Lavender/Pink Butterfly Earrings.
White, Button-Down, Sleeveless, Poplin Shirt: Express.
Fuchsia+White, Stripped, Grandpa Cardigan w/ Pockets: Express.
Fuchsia, Light Tweed, Pencil Skirt: The Limited.
Real Gold Chain Bracelet: Gifted.
Pastel Lavender+Baby Pink Rhinestone, Butterfly, Silver Drop Earrings: Avon.
Nude, Round-Toe, Patent Leather Pumps: Apartment 9 (Kohl's).

Clean+ Crisp, All-White  (A Summer Outfit).
In this Outfit I am doing a Clean & Polished All-White, pairing the Button-Down Shirt with White Jeans & my Nude Pumps. I still added some Color & Chic Appeal by adding a Floral, Orange, Silk Scarf & 3 Bright Neon Bangles. I love this look where I tied in a Scarf instead of a Necklace. Kind of Different & very Elegant.
White, Button-Down, Sleeveless, Poplin Shirt: Express.
White, Boot-cut Jeans: Express.
Orange Floral, Silk, Square Scarf: Echo.
Real Gold Chain Bracelet: Gifted.
Neon Pink, Neon Turquoise & Neon Orange, Plastic Bangle Bracelets: Ruum (New).
Nude, Round-Toe, Patent Leather Pumps: Apartment 9 (Kohl's).

Casual & Girly with Floral (A Summer Outfit).
For the last look I wore a Casual, A-line, Cotton, Floral Skirt and pinned a Bright Magenta/Purple Flower to the Shirt's Collar. I added a bunch of Pink/Purple Bangles. To add to the Girly & Cute Look, I wore the Metallic, Beaded Sandals by Old Navy once again.
White, Button-Down, Sleeveless, Poplin Shirt: Express.
Coral, Light Cotton, A-line Skirt w/ a Pastel Floral Print: Old Navy.
Bright Magenta, Fuchsia & Purple, Silk Flower Pin: Forever 21.
Light, Leopard-Print, Rectangle Sea-Pearl, Drop Earrings: Ann Taylor.
Real Gold Chain Bracelet: Gifted.
Neon Pink, Plastic Bangle Bracelet: Ruum (New).
Hot Pink & Purple Plastic Bangles: Charlotte Russe.
Pewter, Neutral-Metallic, Beaded, Thong Sandals: Old Navy.

    1. A White Shirt is indeed very versatile. I could have remixed this 7 other ways altogether, also.

  4. I LOVE the big blue bow on your shorts in the first outfit! What a fun way to spice up your outfit :) I agree that a white sleeveless top is a great thing to have- I am waiting to find the right one (I used to have one but it stained and all the other ones I've looked at have been too sheer!).

    1. That bow belt is part of the shorts, but it is removable. You should definitely invest on a sleeveless white button-down. Maybe you can find one at Old Navy. =)
