Week's Best Dressed: June 23rd 2013, part 1 - DRESSY.
Happy Sunday-almost-Monday. It was Election Day in Albania this Sunday the 23rd of June, and in 3 decades this is the first time I get to vote in my Home Country, something I have done 3 times already in the States. It was a New Experience for me.
I am doing things a little different this week. This is part one of Week's Best Looks where I am featuring Dressy Looks and by Mid-Week I will have the Casual Looks. I think this makes things easier for me to post (since this is a very time-consuming post) and for you to read (not as overwhelming). When people thing of Dressy, they usually think of Cocktail Wear, Little Black Dresses, a Businessy Work Look, Wedding Attire or such. But I think 'Dressy' is missunderstood. A pair of heels can dress up Shorts, Crops, a Denim Skirt, even Sweats. Even a material like Silk or Chiffon, Tulle or Lace can be Dressy, pretty much always. This reminds me of a Special Bachelorette Party for one of My Best Friends 4 years ago. Myself and her Cousin who shared Maid of Honor duties, were also in charge of the Bachelorette Party. I came up with a Pajamas-themed Party. The idea was to wear our Pajamas or Sleepwear out to the Club and then continue the sleepover at the Bride's Place. There were a dozen of us & the ladies totally sexified their Pajamas, Boxers, Sweat Pants, Negliges & other Sleepwear, making them Dressy & perfect for the Bar. I wore a Silk Pajama Boxers' Set with Silver Stilettos, Silver Woven Belt, Colorful Gemstone, Long, Statement Earrings & a Bright Orange Clutch.
So Dressy doesn't just mean an LBD, Pencil Skirt, Classic Sheath, Business Suit or Silk Dress. This week's Lovely Ladies show us that, too. We have Maxi Dresses & Skirts as well as Knee-Length, Hi-lo, Midi or Mini Dresses+Skirts. But we also have Crops and Shorts that the Ladies dressed up, 5 pairs of Shorts actually, including a pair of Denim ones. The Ladies have Dressed up their Chambray Shirts (there are 3 in the mix) as well as Plaid, Gingham or Camouflage. There are a few Date Night Looks in the mix where the ladies are wearing Pretty Dresses. We have one Girl in 2 Fabulous, Dressy Skirts which she thrifted, looking Amazing in both. We also have a couple of ladies Styling Gorgeous Dresses for something they would wear to a Summer Wedding (one in Canada, the other in Germany). The ladies Dressed up their attires with Beautiful Clutches, Lush Leather Bags, Long Necklaces, Statement Necklaces, Classic Sunglasses, Gold Belts, Gold Bangles, Fun Earrings and (not 1 but 3 Neutral in the mix) Floppy, Summer Hats. Most of the Shoes for these Dressy Looks were Leather Wedges, Nude Pumps or Sandals, Color-blocked Shoes, Dressy Flat Sandals, Black Strappy Heels and the Popular Zara Stilettos which we see in Black & Color-blocked version (3 times). Popular Colors would be Navy, Kelly Green, Lemon Yellow, Neon Yellow & Hot Pink, for today's post.
In this first part of "Week's Best Looks" there are 8 New faces in the mix with some Classic names like Laura, April, Amber, Faith and Kate. We even have an Alicia, an Alissa & an Alice in the mix. My Own Favorite Look from this past week it's definitely a Casual piece that I dressed up. Stay tuned for part 2 where I will showcase the one Fashionista who had Great Outfits all week. Thank you for reading and if your outfit is featured here, be kind and let your own readers in the know, by linking back to my blog, in this post. Thanks.

This Week's Best Outfit/Most Favorite Look in the Dressy Category is ANI of Fleurani.
Ani shows us how to look like a Million Bucks as a Wedding Guest wearing this Lovely, Jewel-Encrusted Halter Gown. The Dress looks like a Watercolor Pastel from first look, while it certainly has that effect, it also has a slight Chevron Print. It features a built-in Bejeweled Collar & Belt (in an Empire Waist Style) letting the bottom part flow into an Elegant, Girly Skirt. She paired it with a Color-block Clutch in Taupe, Coral, Black+White, a Turquoise, Flower, Cocktail Ring, Red Nail Polish & Simple Pearl Studs. Love her hair style as half up and half down. This Beautiful Dress by ASOS was worn on a special post that Ani collaborated with 2 other Fashionable Ladies to show us what to wear as a Wedding Guest (hers being in Germany). Simply Stunning!!
My Own Favorite Look of the Week.
Of course I had to choose this Floral Romper not just because of the Fun Colors & the Ruffle, but because this is definitely a Casual Cotton piece which I made Dressy paired with the Ruffle, Silk Shantung Wedges, Sparkly Gold + Multi-Colored Bangles & Girly, Coral, Bow Headband. This can totally work for a Bar also, during a Summer night.
P.S. Linking up with CHRISTINA, CARISSA, SAMI and LOGAN.
