Neutral Colored Pants - 5 Elegant Ways.

Hi All. Today is Day Two of 5 Days, 5 Ways and today's remix is Pants. Though I am much more of a Dresses & Skirts Girl myself, I do wear my share of Pants, especially Trouser-style pants for work. Actually, at my last job, in my Career with Books, I was told a lot by a couple of our employees that I looked so Sharp, Elegant & Professional in Wide-Legged Pants. Also, it seems from yesterday's post, that most of you preferred the Professional Look I chose with the Dressy Brown Pants. I actually had at least 4-5 more looks to show you with those Brown Pants but I didn't want to look repetitive so today I chose Light Colored, Neutral Pants to show you. They are not the same pants, they are actually 3 different pairs but still. I think it fits the challenge, I hope so. All these looks are Dressy, Professional, Elegant too - if I do say so myself. I am wearing wedges with all of them, My Brown Oxford Booties, My Purple T-Strap Mary Janes & My Multi-Colored Stripped Espadrilles. You will also see some of my Silk Blouses - I have quite a collection of Blouses & other Silky Tops. And from posting these outfits, I am also noticing lots of Ruffles. =) I do apologize about the lightning on these photos. It is not the best. I work with a very simple point+shoot camera and all these photos were taken in my office (at the time) where we had strong, neon lights.

1st Look with Light Grayish-Khaki Trousers. For this look I chose a Linen Blazer in a complimentary shade like a Cream or Ivory and I wore one of my favorite blouses which features Ruffles, Polka Dots & the Color Blue - all three things I love. And I am wearing my Brown Oxford Wedges which were so popular from yesterday, too.
Ecru, 3/4-Sleeve, Linen Blazer: H&M.
Royal Blue, Sleeveles, Ruffles Blouse w/ White Polka Dots: The Limited.
Simple, Faux-Leather, Brown Belt (it Came with a Skirt): Calliope.
Light Khaki, Wide-Legged, Dressy, "Editor" Style Pants: Express.
Olive Green, Wedge, Oxford Booties: Old Navy.

2nd Look with Light Grayish-Khaki Trousers. For this look I wore a Very Pretty Gray/Olive Green, Spider-web Print Silk Top which has cascading Ruffles on the sides down the sleeves. I added a simple Black Cardigan on top - a must have piece in every woman's closet. Some Sparkly, Silver Drop Earrings and I was done. But now looking at this, a Long, Bold Necklace in a Bright Color would have made the outfit look better. Even Gold would have worked.
Gray & Ivory, Spider-Print, Silk Chiffon, Ruffly Top: Bebe.
Black, Stretchy Nylon Tank (Under the Top): White House Black Market.
Black Cardigan: Express.
Light Khaki, Wide-Legged, Dressy, "Editor" Style Pants: Express.
Black Leather, Braided Bracelet w/ Silver Clasp (Left Hand): Parfois.
Silver, Sparkly, Globe Drop Earrings: Fred's Jewelry.
Simple, Faux-Leather, Brown Belt (it Came with a Skirt): Calliope.
Brown, Patent Leather & Faux Suede, Oxford Shoes: Simple Shoes.

1st Look with Light Gray Trousers. I have always loved Gray paired with Pinks & Purples so I Chose this Fuchsia/Magenta Blouse to pair with my Light Gray Pants. I added a couple of simple bracelets and I think that was enough since the top is Bright & it has this Ruffled Collar Bib.
Magenta, Short-Sleeve, Ruffled "Bib" Silk Charmeuse Blouse: Express.
Heather-Gray, Light, "Editor" Style, Dressy Pants: Express.
Silver Chain Bracelet (Right Hand): Target.
Gold Pearl, Stretchy Bracelet (Left Hand): Express.
Brown, Patent Leather & Faux Suede, Oxford Shoes: Simple Shoes.

2nd Look with Light Gray Trousers. The second time with these pants, I also wore a Silk Blouse in a Bright Royal Blue Color, but this time it's a Button-Down. I wore Matching Blue Studs & a Stretchy Bracelet with Black & Clear Stones. I brought in another color with my Purple Wedges.
Long-Sleeve, Stretchy, Silk Charmeuse, Royal Blue, Button-Down Shirt: The Limited.
Heather Gray, Light, Wide-Legged "Editor" Style Trousers: Express.
Sky Blue, Rhinestone Stud Earrings: Forever 21.
Blue & Silver, Stretchy, Rhinestone Bracelet (Right Hand): Gifted from a Girlfriend
Patent Leather, Thin, Black Headband w/ Square, Skinny, Ecru Bow Off the Side: The Limited.
Violet, Suede, T-Strap Mary Jane Wedges: Old Navy.

My Last Look featuring Ivory or Ecru Trousers. These Dressy Pants I paired with another Bright, Silky Blouse in a Beautiful, Bold Emerald Color - Green is so in this season, not?! And I wore one of my many Bow Headbands - I have quite a collection of Headbands. I also added some Dangly Black & White Beaded Earrings. In retrospect I should have added a bracelet or two, as well and maybe tried a Long Necklace instead.
Cap-Sleeve, Scoop-Neck, Silky, Teal Top: The Limited.
Ivory, Dressy, Bootcut "Drew" Style Pants: The Limited.
Silver Chain Necklace Featuring a "Grape Pendant" w/ Fake White Pearls & Silver Rhinestones: Fred's Jewelry.
Faux White Pearl & Black Glass Beaded Dangly Earrings: White House Black Market.
Ivory, Grossgrain Ribbon Headband Featuring a Wide, Double-Bow: Forever 21.
Hot Pink, Multi-Colorful Stripped Wedge Espadrilles: Payless.

P.S. I am linking up with for Fran and Whitney for Today's Challenge,

  1. I really like your wide legged pants in the first looks. Wide legged pants elongate and look great, especially when they fit well. Also, the blue tops in your last photos are a great color on you! Heather
