Mushroom Lace Top - 3 Ways.

Hi Everyone. How has your Monday been so far? Most importantly is it Spring there yet, cause it is definitely NOT Spring around here. Actually it warmed up quite a bit over the last couple of days, but it has been raining a lot and the winds have made it colder. Plus at night it is quite chilly. I was totally going to post a Whole New Outfit today, but then I saw that Fran had a great 5Days, 5 Ways Challenge going so I figured I'd give it a try. I might not join for the entire challenge (each day). And to tell you the truth I don't think I have an item that I have worn 5 different times where I have it documented in photos. Yes, surely I have worn certain items many times, more than 5 times, but do I have pictures of it? Anyway, we'll see how day 1 goes.

Today I choose a Taupe or Mushroom Lace Top from The Limited which I have added to my closet probably towards Fall of 2010. To me, Lace never goes out of style and it is also Trend of the Month,  so that definitely tells us that Lace is here to stay in the Fashion World. I have worn this top maybe half a dozen of times total - a shame really because it is quite cute. As a matter of fact when I put on today's outfit, this Lace Top was hanging next to the top I wore today, so I got reminded of it and I figured I should show you 3 ways I have worn this top - that I have photos to show for, at least. The one thing you will notice is that all these three looks have a cardigan in common. I think a cardigan was necessary since these are all from January-March of last year. Also, all three looks feature my Brown Oxford Booties. I wear them a lot. They are such comfortable wedges that have definitely gotten their money worth. Plus Brown looks good with Taupe, so I am not surprised to see them all three times. I remember I have also worn this top tucked into a Black Tulip Skirt with a Long Coral Necklace & some Nude Pumps. I have also worn it with White Shorts, Gold Jewelry & Bronze Sandals for Summer time.

1st Look - Professional. I wore this to work with some Dressy Pants & a Cardigan in a Matching Color (like the top). This was quite a simple, monochromatic look but I felt Dressed Up enough for work & Polished. I added Brown as far as the second color (both Pants & Shoes). I have belted the pants here, but maybe that Skinny Belt would have looked better over the cardigan, right where I buttoned it.

Brown, Wide-Legged, "Drew" Style Pants: The Limited.
Lace, See-Through, Floral, Taupe Tee: The Limited.
Taupe Cardigan: Piazza Italia.
Basic Black Camisole (Under the Lace Top): White House Black Market.
Black Patent Leather Skinny Headband Featuring an Ivory Bow: The Limited.

2nd Look - Casual. I wore this for a Late Afternoon Drinks & Appetizers Date with a Girlfriend. This time 'Comfort' was key. I added some interest with my Leopard Cardigan and kept the bottom half very simple with my Dark Indigo Skinny Jeans with Zipper Detail on the ankles. If I wear to put this outfit on, again, I would have added a Bright Necklace, something Red, Turquoise, Coral or even Green.
Leopard-Print, 3/4 Sleeve Cardigan: White House Black Market.
Lace, See-Through, Floral, Taupe Tee: The Limited.
Indigo Blue, Skinny Jeans: The Limited.
Cognac, Braided, Skinny, Leather Belt: The Limited.
Silver Chains & Bracelets (Right Hand): JC Penney, Lord & Taylor, etc.
Brown, Patent Leather & Faux Suede, Oxford Shoes: Simple Shoes.

3rd Look - Dressy. I also wore this to work. While it is good for an office environment, it is also quite dressy as to where it would work for a Shower, Date Night, or Engagement Dinner. The cardigan is one of the prettiest I own. It is Gray with beads & sequins sewn through it. That is one of My Favorite Statement Necklaces too. It is Beige with Big Sparkly Stones, Clear Stones and Beige & Gray Pearls. The Lavender Skirt is one of My Favorite Pencil Skirts that I wear a lot. Last but not least the Flower Belt adds some Girly Factor, too.

Lilac, Sexy Pencil Skirt: London Girl Boutique.
Lace, See-Through, Floral, Taupe Tee: The Limited.
3/4-Sleeve, Heather Gray Cardigan Decorated w/ Sequins on the Front: The Limited.
Ivory, Stretchy Nylon Tank (Under the Top): The Limited.
Beige, Faux Pearl & Clear Geometric Stone, 2-Stranded, Statement Necklace: White House Black Market.
Stretchy, Wide, Maroon Belt with a Big Rose Off the Side: Calliope.
Thin Metallic Headband Featuring a Rhinestone, Multi-Colored Insect: An Accessories Boutique in Tirana.
Plum-Colored, Thin, See-Through Tights: Lauma.
Brown, Patent Leather & Faux Suede, Oxford Shoes: Simple Shoes.

SO WHICH LOOK IS YOUR FAVORITE OF THE THREE? Sorry I didn't have 5 ways today, Fran, but you said that rules were not so strict.

P.S. I am also linking today with Patti for VISIBLE MONDAYS,

    1. You prefer the more casual look. It is actually a versatile piece, though it doesn't seem so by looking at it.

    1. I know. I'd rather have snow that rain though. Rain is bad on a person's health & physical well-being too and it affects babies so much. It sucks. I feel so bad for the baby. She now has more tummy aches. Evenings are brutal. =(

  7. Great outfits! I just love a lace top, and I like how yours is in a different neutral color. The first outfit is my favorite, but I also see a sneak peek of oxford shoes in your last outfit, and I am obsessed with oxfords!

    1. Thanks Inge. It seems like most people like the first outfit the best. As far as the shoes, yes they are Oxford Wedges and they are the same shoes in all 3 pics. =)

  8. haha of course the rules aren't strict! I'm just glad you joined us - any number of ways of wearing something is inspiring in the fashion world where wearing something more than once is often frowned upon. Thank you so much for joining us this week!
