Skinny Black and Purple Plaid.

A year ago, on November 17th 2011, I landed at "Mother Theresa" Airport in Tirana, Albania. This would be my new place of living (and learning and changing, and so many other things...) at least for the time being. My husband had been there a long while before I arrived and even gotten a job and got us an apartment which he furnished simply, with the help of his parents. See, I had lived in USA for the past 15 years and now that it is Thanksgiving time, I really do miss it, especially since it has been a year. I cannot believe this is the second Thanksgiving and Black Friday I will be away from USA. I love Black Fridays like any fashionista and style person would. Let me explain, I love the sales, the deals and the coupons, but of course don't care for the crazy rush, the insane amount of people, the super busy day with lines of people by the fitting rooms and cash registers. I can do without those. Anyway, just a year later and my life has already changed A TON!! I got my first job in Albania, this January, in Managing and Marketing but in a business I had never been involved with before: Books. And just a few short months after that, we learned that I was pregnant. In less than 15 months total from the time I left USA, not only did I deal with this huge move/change, but my life is about to change a lot more with the coming/expecting of a baby, in late January/early February. But I couldn't be more thrilled. And how happy & exciting that it is a Baby Girl, you gotta love little girls!! So many of my girlfriends and people I know have had girls, this year. =) Anyway, while I plan on doing a "Thankful Post" tomorrow, just like a Traditional American at heart (because see I am both Albanian and American), I am leaving you with these words for today and an outfit below...

This outfit is my version of a Black Suit since it has black pants and a black blazer, though they aren't really a suit. Actually the pants are skinny cords while the blazer is a dressy one featuring a round collar. But they do come from the same store, actually. I wore a soft, simple, linen, plaid button-down that has that empire-waist, very forgiving for a pregnant mom. I notice my accessories are kind of MIA here with the exception of a very simple but pretty necklace and a headband which is my signature accessory. =)

I wish you all a Lovely, Joyful, Thankful, Happy Thanksgiving Tomorrow filled with a Yummy dinner, Plenty of food, scrumptious desserts and Lots of Love All Around!!!

Black Blazer w/ Round Collar: White House Black Market.
Purple. Black & Gray Plaid, Empire-Waist, Button-Down Shirt: La Chateau (Canada).
Black, Stretchy, Skinny Corduroy Pants: White House Black Market.
Silver Chain Necklace w/ Small, Black, Semi-Precious Stone: Fred's Jewelry.
Ivory & Camel, Faux-Leather Headband with Double Bows (off the Side): Bijoux & Accessories.
