Polished Polka.
You wake up sometimes in the morning and think about what you want to wear that day (or at least the first part of the day) and have no clue. Well, this was not one of those mornings for me. Actually as I was half-asleep still in my bed, and after knowing it had rained a lot during the night I knew what I wanted to wear. I wanted to be comfortable while still look cute. So I opted for leggings with a bright-colored sweater. I have worn this sweater, similarly before. Well, you guys know I am some days behind with outfit posts so today's outfit posting is not what I described but I just wanted to share my thought process with you.
So I had my morning coffee (well a dark chocolate drink for me, actually) with a dear friend of mine who has come to visit her family & friends, from Germany. I haven't seen her in almost a year since the end of last November. Germany is the mother-land of Kinder, one of the best candy brands in the world, so she makes sure to always bring me some type of Kinder when she comes. She brought me those, as well as a nice and cozy paisley-print scarf. Girlfriend knows I love scarves. So as we sipped our coffee at a cute cafe by the patio, the weather was sunny but a little overcast, just cool enough yet warm for what I had worn (this was at 10.00 AM). Fast forward 2-3 hours later and when I had to get to work, I felt so hot and uncomfortable in my sweater and tights. It really warmed up quite a bit. I took off my light scarf I had put on over the sweater. We are having the type of weather where it is chilly in the mornings, warm (quite warm) at lunch time and early afternoon and then it cools down a lot in the evening. One doesn't know what to wear with such bi-polar weather we have had the last week and a half or so. Layer perhaps?
I realize I have done a lot of Brown, Turquoise & Polka Dots in the last 3 outfits. Here is another Polka-dotted outfit. Hey if you like something, why not? The dots on this gray top are more of a Fuchsia or even a Magenta, but I think that still qualifies as Pink so this is another ensemble I can count as my Honor to Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The white pencil skirt I love and in case you are wondering how the skirt still fits me, is because I have left it almost completely unzipped. It's OK since my top is long enough. Yep, that's my trick with a lot of my skirts for this past month. =P And I realize I double-dosed on Polka dots because you see them (in a tiny version), on my feet, also.

Your double polka dot outfit is adorable! Why mess with a good thing? If it works, it works. So glad you got to spend time with your friend. Hope to see the scarf soon :)
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot. Why mess with a good thing is what I said? The scarf is pretty & rich and warm. It is not time (weather-wise) to wear it around here, yet. =)
DeleteYour bump has really popped! Be sure you have the code linked up right on the button so others can link through :)
ReplyDelete✰Transatlantic Blonde✰
Thanks Melaina. As far as the link, I have linked your name (well nick-name Blondie) to your blog. ;-)
DeleteI love the double polka dots. We have similar weather. I have to layer with jackets or cardigans. It goes from cold to hot in a matter of hours. Congrats on spending some time with your friend. It's always great to sit and catch up with friends.
ReplyDeleteI know, horrible weather if you ask me. I rather have the weather be one way. I think this stupid flu virus is coming back on because I have been sneezing a lot yesterday & today. I froze late last night on my way back home, from work.
DeleteThat top is really cute!
ReplyDeleteI agree. I love it. =)
DeleteLove the polka Dot top. Thanks again from join in on BBCA.
