Black and White Stripey Dress.
There is nothing classier that the combination of chic, clean, simple, lovely white with classy, elegant, sophisticated, simple black. I should know this better since for a year and a half I worked at a store that has these two colors in its name "White House Black Market". I did actually own a lot of black, white or a combination black+white items before working there but I never wore them very often. Working there made me purchase a lot more items in these two classic, neutral colors. To this day, as much as I love all colors, especially bright bold ones, especially for the warm months, I think one can never wear too much white during summer. So, as much as I love colors, I think white takes the cake for summer time, during your non-work hours.
This dress was purchased after I left my job at WHBM. It looks like something I might have as well purchased there. I saw it by chance one day at Old Navy at some ridiculous clearance price. I tried it on and loved it. I even got one like it in multi-colored stripes, which you can see in this post. I like the fact that they are a light knit and offer 3/4-sleeves. I also like the unique length, they fall about 4-5 inches below the knee. The style is as simple as can be, they are warm and super comfortable and they are pretty dressy too, perfect for work, be it Spring (like now) or Fall. And since I love love loooovvvvveeee stripes, these dresses had to come home with me. :-) Speaking of White House Black Market they have BEAUTIFUL Custom Jewelry. I added so many of their pieces to my jewelry drawers once I worked there. The set of necklace and earrings I am wearing here (w/ fake pearls and iridescent glass beads) is from there. My only pop of color in this outfit is my Bright Green Chanel Hair Claw. =)
