Little Red Sweater Dress.

It is always quite easy to find black, gray, charcoal, brown and even beige sweater dresses. But finding them in softer or brighter colors is harder, so when I picked up 3 colorful sweater dresses last Fall at my favorite store - The Limited - I was ecstatic. Among those three is this one. It is a true red, a darker red, but a red nevertheless, not burgundy, not wine, not cherry, not maroon. I know you can't quite tell from the photos but is as red as red comes. =) I love the color of this dress, but I also really like 3 other things about it: the length which is a perfect couple inches above the knee; the sleeves, both the fact that they are three-quarter and also that they feature a see-through crochet motif; and the cozy effect, it is pretty thick but not too thick and keeps you quite warm. =) Oh and RED just "happens to be" My Most Favorite Color hands down!!

I wore this dress for sort-of-a-special occassion. My oldest friend to date (from the same Albanian hometown as myself), has been living in USA for 3 years where she is married to a wonderful American Man. She gave birth to her baby girl in early January and a few weeks ago they came to visit Albania and her side of the family, so that her parents (the new grandparents) could also meet their first granddaughter. Since I wasn't part of my friend's Baby Shower (because I had moved to Albania), I of course had to visit and bring the baby a gift. I chose a super-cute pink skirt with jean bottoms underneath it, a cute Princess Tiara pink tee (it matched the skirt/bottoms perfectly) and a pair of blue jean tennis shoes with pink shoelaces. God help me when I have children of my own because I could go crazy at the Children's Stores and Kids' Clothes Departments. These 3 pieces were all super cute & sweet (for when she gets a little older). My only regret is that I forgot to take a photo of the baby's gifts (that is so unlike me LOL). Anyways, we visited the new family (we - as in My Husband & I) at her parents' home and it was such a nice little visit.

Happy Easter to all of those who are Orthodox and celebrate Easter tomorrow! Christ is Risen!! Indeed, He is Risen!!
