Gray Simplicity with a Hint of Red.
Gray has been my friend this past winter season. I have always carried a warm place in my heart for Gray yet never seemed to own a lot of it or wear it often. It is a neutral color that pretty much goes with anything (just like black). Yet it is not as in-your-face and as colorless as black. It is soft, it is neutral, it is seasonless, it is Earthy.
I hadn't purchased a gray skirt in a long while and when I saw this with the cute zippered pockets up front, in a tulip pencil style, in the perfect short length (yet not too mini) I had to have it. Especially for that price!! $7.90 to be exact (tax included). Yep, when you see clothing priced in Albania, the price you see includes any taxes. So this skirt came home with me and became my friend. The first time around I wore it with a pretty Mustard & Plum Ruffled Blouse that I tucked inside it here. =) This time I decided to be more chic, a little more buttoned-up (literally) yet still cozy. I let GRAY be the main attraction of this outfit, as my cardi is Gray too, yet it is spruced up with Red and White in one of my favorite patterns - Argyle.

Very cute! Classic outfit = cardigan + pencil skirt = winner every time. I love argyle and that cardi is no exception!
ReplyDeleteThanks A Lot Taylor. It is a very simple look, but chic nevertheless. I agree, pencil skirts and cardigans are a winner every time. I usually wear my cardigans as a layering piece, but I wanted to make my cardigan - the main attraction on this outfit. I wanted to make it the top. The Argyle Print sure pops that's why. =)
DeleteI have been missing your posts. I love your outfits and your style so please start posting OOTD again. Enjoy Your Weekend!!
