Thursday Moda #2 and a Pop of Yellow.

Today is Wednesday Eve and in most countries it's Thursday which means it is time for my Thursday Moda linkup that I started last week. Thank you to everyone who linked up with me on the very first week of my new "Thursday Moda" Linkup. There were over 60 of you lovely, stylish ladies who entered the linkup. And considering that it is a brand-new linkup and I only told you about it a day before, I think that is a huge success on the first week. I hope we can make today's bigger and better than last time, so join me at the end of this post. =) And today I am sharing another new (also from Nordstrom) Blanket Scarf with you. As you know I have been a lot into Ponchos and Blanket Scarves this Winter, so much so that I did an entire week of them last week. Well today I am styling another brand-new Poncho (photo on the left from the collage above) and another brand-new Blanket Scarf (photo on the right from the collage above). The truth is I decided to layer both my Gray Poncho and this Wool Yellow/Gray/Black Blanket Scarf together. It was something I had never tried before (because it also looks different than this recent outfit) but I liked it a lot. I styled the two pieces together both for style and for warmth. The outfit was worn the last Friday of February to work and we were having a big snow day that day, too.

You may or may not have noticed that the blouse I wore here is the same Off-White Lush Blouse from last week. I told you guys I would show you a different way to style this blouse with a blanket scarf. My scarf was a steal at Nordstrom and I loved the oversized buffalo plaid pattern of yellow, white, gray and black. The pop of bright yellow stands out against all the neutrals. Also, my outfit is made of neutrals so the yellow from the scarf is outstanding. I added a little bit more yellow via that mellow yellow new+gorgeous clutch from Elliot Lucca. The gray knit poncho looks like an addition to the scarf. They truly went so well together. I added both of my Citrine Square Rings to this Outfit and the latest Earrings and Bracelet from my last Rocksbox worked perfectly since they were gold and green.  F.Y.I. You can still use my special code to get a free month of Rocksbox jewelry delivered to your home: ADABFF39. And in case you are wondering my Blue Denim Flares are not the same as yesterday's. I purchased these back in September 2009 when I was in Toronto, at Eaton Shopping Centre. They are my first pair of 7 for All Mankind Jeans. This outfit is also a great example of mixing high and low (prices). My jeans, clutch and most of the jewelry were a splurge but the shoes, blouse, blanket scarf and poncho were a steal. It ended being such a chic look, especially since I ended it with Classic Black Pumps. =)

The Accessories:
Black Faux Suede D'Orsay Pumps w/ Buckles: Payless (similar, Steal), (similar, Great Deal), (similar, small Splurge, love these).

There were so many gorgeous outfits linked up last week, but ultimately below are my top three favorite reasons. They have pieces and styling I love: red poncho, bourdeaux fedora, gorgeous teal patterned midi skirt, pattern-mixing, a bold statement necklace, the most amazing blush OTK Boots and that luscious wrap skirt!!

Amber's "Wool Cape".
Sheree's "Spring Fling"
Katie's "Starry Night".

And now join the linkup!
