Nautical. Goldie. Graphics.
Hello, it's Monday, the start of a new week and we are already half-through May. WOW!! To all of you ladies who are Mothers, I hope your Mother's Day weekend and celebration was Special! =) Mine was Simple & Relaxing, spending it with Hubby and Vivian and enjoying the warm sunshine. I had a Special Mother's Day Post from myself+guests on the blog yesterday. There was also another fun weekend post (all about shopping lol) on Friday.
Today, my Friend Laura (in collaboration with Andi) started off a Nautical-themed week, which is perfect because Today's Look (I am linking up) is what I had planned to post on the blog, this Monday. I am showing off this Gorgeous Black+White Striped Blazer with Double Gold Buttons (they are just decorations). H&M has been nailing their Stripes lately. First this Adorable Skirt and now the Tailored, Preppy-Chic Blazer I have on, today. =) To me, Black+White Stripes, Navy+White Stripes or Breton Stripes are always considered Nautical. Especially if you add Gold. Between the Gold Buttons on this Blazer, the Gold-printed, See-through, Graphic Tee and my Gold Chain Necklace+Bracelet (some of the new jewelry not pictured from March+April's Budget Post), this is pretty Nautical am I right? And I have on two Graphics: my Tee says "DECADENCE" while my cross-body says "LOVE" and I love it. I wore this Outfit just a few days after my April's 30 Remix Challenge (review of that coming soon, hopefully this weekend) and clearly I didn't want to put away my Black Skinny Jeans right away lol, I cuffed them to make them ankle-length. I finished off the look with Cute Black Patent Leather Flats. I think Red Ballet Flats might have looked better though, what do you think? Does this Outfit have the Nautical vibe in your opinion? Do you own a Black+White Striped Blazer?

What a great blazer darling! Looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteI really like this new blazer! The stripes are fantastic. I think the look is fine with the black flats, but red flats would be fun too!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Including my dress is fine with me!
Love your blazer! And that lipstick looks great on you. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Ada, it is me again! You won my giveaway, but for some reason the email that I have from you is not allowing me to send an email! Could you please email me your mailing address at rachelslookbook@gmail.com! That way I can send your info to Babette and they can mail you a scarf! :) :) :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun theme week and I definitely agree that those stripes are inherently nautical, but not in an overly literal way like an anchor print. The black flats look nice and polished but since you mentioned red ones....that would also look pretty amazing too! Interesting what we learn from taking pictures of our outfits, isn't it? Thanks for linking up as always Ada! You are a sweetheart. :)

Hi Ada thanks so much for linking up to the What Wives Wear Link Up. I love this look especially the blazer. I guess great minds think alike, because we both were featuring a striped look. Stripes are so fun and they can be dressed up or down.
ReplyDeleteI also liked that love cross body bag, very cute! I would love for you to join us each Thursday for the link up, and don't forget to check back this Thursday for our Top Two picks. You may like what you see. Have a great week!
