Pleated Stripes and Collared Roses.
The last few months, I have been lucky to have been given or gifted a few cute items to wear and some to review. Yesterday's Floral Post was an example of that. For today, one of our local boutiques gifted me the Cute Little Pleated Skirt you are seeing on me. I have done some shopping there and they really like my style. So, this skirt, a headband and a pair of tights were their Birthday Gift to me. The store is properly called "Rroba Mania". "Rroba" means clothes in Albanian and the name suits me too as the Clothing Maniac I am. Aren't all Style Bloggers? LOL. I, of course cannot turn down an Adorable Black+White Striped Skirt that has Pleats and Twirls! It screams Girly and Pretty!
For my first styling of this Skirt, I wore it with a Cropped Top (it's a Cropped Cardigan that I have always worn layered with a long tee or tunic before). This Cardigan from The Limited has been in my closet for a few years which goes to show you that trends come and go in the blink of an eye. I love the Soft Baby Pink Color and that amazing Collar with Roses. The Nude-Pink Pumps were a perfect match. Technically they go with everything. I was afraid of wearing a Cropped Sweater as is, since I am a Mom and all, but the Skirt is slightly high-waisted and you can barely see my stomach so it worked. What do you think? Have you ever tried the Cropped Top trend yet? I think my favorite ways to wear Crop Tops is with a High-Waisted Skirt. I also love them with a Midi or Maxi Skirt.

ReplyDeleteAda, what a cute way to wear crops. I started off with that as I've been having a hard time wearing crops as a mom the same way you mentioned but really want to! :-)) Like you I paired a couple longer crops I bought lately with high waist skirts and that really helps toning them down. Ok now I can move to the GORGEOUS skirt!!! The black/white color block and the pleats are just lovely and I like the pairing with the neutral shoes. You are looking great with this outfit lovely lady!

I love the casual balance of the pleats with the stripes in that skirt. Good choice with the pink top- I would have been boring and gone with blue or white! Love how simply divine this looks!
