Thursday Moda #153: Red Dots Romance.
RED DOTS ROMANCE.
Happy Wednesday Everyone! Posting my newest, latest Thursday Moda early tonight, because I am really excited about this outfit, which I titled Red Dots Romance (pun intended). I think this outfit would be perfect to wear for Valentine's week or on Valentine's Day because it can go from day to night. You could wear it to the office (in a business casual environment), to the movies, to brunch or to a dinner date. This outfit is Dressy yet still Pretty Casual because not everyone wants to be in a Cocktail Dress and let's face it our temperatures go up and down from negative numbers (say -10) to mid 50s every single day. This is Michigan after all. So, you need to wear a sweater or a warm top. I am also keeping warm with these Velvet Black+White Polka Dot Leggings. While my Fun Red Sweater features a peek-a-boo sexy back tied into a Red Satin Bow. I paired the long sweater and leggings with my Marsala Oxford Real Suede Booties (or Shooties) and a Leopard Clutch (that has more spots or animal dots). Since the sweater, leggings, clutch and shoes are all statement pieces, especially since I wore them all together, I kept the Jewelry, Hair and Makeup quite simple. I am wearing a Dainty Real Gold Heart Necklace, Dainty little Ruby+Diamond Hoops and a Ruby+Diamond Silver Ring. I even have a Tiny Red Bow Hair Pin on the back of my hair, to the side of the bun and the bun is tied using a seamless Burgundy/Marsala Hair Tie (I buy these hair ties at H+M, Francesca's or Forever 21; they come in multiple colors as a pack of 6, 8 or more and they are so soft and seamless). Of course Red Lips were a given with this outfit and they were just the exclamation point to the whole makeup look and match my sweater perfectly. I swiped my Favorite Red Lipstick which is by NARS and it is a steal since it is currently 60% so RUN TO BUY IT now! What do you think of this Red Dots Romance Valentine-Inspired Look? Will you be wearing some Red, Burgundy (Marsala) or Dots this Valentine's?
Last week you all loved my Winter Gear with all the beanies, scarves, gloves, sunglasses and blanket scarves that I shared. Thank you for that. I, on the other hand was all over the place as far as what I loved. From rocker-chic looks to romantic dresses perfect for Valentine's Day. Plus, lots of cute and unique hats. Out of all the ladies featured, there are a couple of new faces too, which I have never featured before. Let's take a more detailed look, below.
This week's featured blogger is my dear friend CHRISSY from Granola and Grace who first of all is a darling lady with a golden heart. This Floridian Fashionista is such a babe and rocks both olive green and black, all the time. Those two are her signature colors, so I wasn't shocked at all that both of her outfits featured either olive or black: first in distressed denim paired with combat boots and a black sweatshirt and later more denim with open-toed booties in olive with a matchy-colored cardigan and a camo tee. Speaking of camo, no wonder that is the print that Chrissy cannot stop wearing. She wears camouflage like no other. Also, this mom of four boys rocks hats and edgy looks. I must say I love her tote which even mentions 'blogging', her nude fedora and her nude circle crossbody bag. On a personal level, Chrissy and I have been very close blogging friends for a couple of years now. I can trust her with my deepest secrets. She is kind, genuine, friendly, funny and lovely. I also love watching her stories. She keeps it real 100% of the time and her accents kill me! LOL On top of it all she dresses really well as a busy mom on the go! Make sure you stop by her blog if you haven't yet!
Emma rocked this hat not once but twice last week, on her blog. I loved her Shades of Grey and Dark Gold outfit, which is both monochromatic and colorblocked. Plus her grey booties are an identical shade as her tights, making her legs look super long!
As a huge fan of Mommy and Daughter Matching Dresses I loved this post by Rachel Nicole. Their Millennial Pink rose dresses are gorgeous and perfectly-romantic for VDay and I love both of the cute mommy+me hairstyles and matchy-matchy tan booties.
Elyse felt like it was 'January 67th' in the last outfit she posted for January. I loved her black teddy coat, leggings, OTK boots and crisscross-back sweater. That splash of vivid fuchsia!
Miriam's coat was covered in 'Golden Sequins'. It is both a trendy and a sophisticated piece which looked even more expensive paired with black and champagne. Chic office look.
Always trending and always so posh, Ashley did 'Street Style with Adidas' in head-to-toe black with her raw-hemmed skinny jeans and a Gucci belt. Love!
Fellow Michigander Jennifer shared a 'Valentine's Day Blush Dress' in a beautiful mosaic tile print with a clutch and pumps in the same color. She just recently started a linkup too (on Wednesdays), so make sure you join her.

You are Valentine's ready Ada! I'm with you, no cocktail dress for me, it gets cooler at night and I don't like being chilly. Love the back of your sweater. Great deal on that lipstick too!
