The Sunday Showcase Linkup, May 2018 - Simple Striped 'Uniform'.
How is your May going so far?! Can you believe that the first week of May is over?! How is it May 6th already?! Hope you all had a great Cinco de Mayo too with all the Mexican food goodies. And her we are again today with the third Sunday Showcase linkup, with my fabulous friends KELLYANN from This Blonde's Shopping Bag and CHRISSY from Granola and Grace. Just like on the first showcase linkup, our friend SHELBEE from Shelbee on the Edge joins us as a guest host. We don't have a particular theme going. Just outfits we have all worn recently. And I love my outfit today.
THE SHOWCASE MAY OUTFIT.
Such a simple outfit today - worn on Monday this week - but a nice one too, and since my work is business casual I even wore it to work. I am wearing my Ab-solution Black Ankle-Length Skinny Jeans with a Long Striped Tee - I have many tees like this. This one from Old Navy I have had for 2.5 years and I love the maroon stripes with the maroon shoulders. As far as shoes I wore my Taupe Laceup Wedge Sandals since the warm weather and sunshine is here and I even painted my toes (also in a taupe-ish coral color). Last but not least I am wearing a new pair of Sunglasses. These are fun ones with the iridescent mirrored glass. I have bought them many months ago at Charming Charlie which is a great place to buy sunnies. I wear sunglasses a lot - I cannot stand even the smallest amount of sun - and own a ton of them. I have a couple pairs of RayBans but most of the ones I wear are affordable cheap sunnies. I buy most of my sunglasses at Loft, Target and Aeropostale but also Charming Charlie and Charlotte Russe are other stores you can find cute sunnies for cheap. The Loft ones are so well-made and I try to catch them on sale. I own a couple of pairs from Ann Taylor too and they are so sturdy, nice and well-made. This is what I'd call a "Mom Babe Look" since it is casual but totally put-together. If it were chilly or cooler I would add a blazer, utility jacket or denim jacket. What do you think?! Aren't sometimes the simplest outfits, the best?! I love this one and it is totally simple! Also, a type of uniform for me. =)
LAST BUT NOT LEAST...
Here are my favorite two posts linked up last month for our April Sunday Showcase! Stop by Kellyann's and Chrissy's blogs to see who they featured!
Katie said "Happy Easter" with this gorgeous garden of a dress in pastel blues and periwinkle. Love her serene blue pumps and trendy circle bag too.
Jacqui marvelously layered a denim shirtdress over a red turtleneck dress and shared "The Perfect Shoe". Those patent leather nude wedge pumps are certainly pretty and classy.
Great uniform and yes, this is what I'd call the Mom Babe Look! Those jeans are terrific on you!

Great combo and total mom babe look! I agree with you completely that sometimes the quickest easiest throw together outfits turn out to be the best ones! I actually threw on an outfit the other day, totally uninspired, feeling lazy, in no mood for photos, lazy day outfit...and it turned out so fabulous that I scheduled an impromptu photo shoot! Great post, my friend. And thanks so much for inviting me to guest co-host with you all again! It is always my pleasure to join my amazing friends!
