Thursday Moda #109: Nautical Sweater and Fishnet Socks.
Good morning ladies, how are your first days of April going?! Isn't 2018 just flying by isn't it?! Today I am sharing this cute+modern Outfit I have been meaning to post for a while. I have always liked pairing cute jeans or trouser socks with fun shoes (especially pumps) and pants or denim skinnies. This look is particularly IN right now and I have seen it everywhere from runways to work-places, to brunches and girls' nights out or date nights. I actually wore this outfit to work (since I work at a creative environment) and on Fridays we are even allowed slightly-distressed jeans as long as they are dressed up.
THE NAUTICAL SWEATER.
I don't know why it took me so long to wear this Adorable Striped Waffle Sweater by Old Navy (the quality is amazing by the way and it is so cute). I have had it for about a year. What makes it nautical for me is that the stripes are red and navy (so Americana), but they also added Cute Millennial Pink Stripes in there for good measure. This type of blush pink has been considered the color of the decade and by now all of our closets have some items in this color. In this particular situation the light pink stripes matched the frames of these New Mirrored Sunglasses. This time around I simply paired this sweater with my Busted-Knee Skinny Jeans by Abercrombie but I cannot wait to wear it with white jeans and some red trousers next. I totally think this is such a Mom Babe Look that is both dressy and casual. What do you think?!
THE FISHNET SOCKS AND GOLD PUMPS.
I ended up wearing these Black Fishnet Socks with my Distressed Skinny Blue Jeans and I paired them with my Croc-Embossed Gold Christian Louboutin Pumps which I love. Both the Fishnet Socks and Gold Pumps definitely dressed up and modernized a simple look of jeans+sweater. My fishnet socks are by DSW and you can find cute socks like these (for a great deal) at DSW, Nordstrom Rack or Forever 21. I think if you are a little scared and self-conscious about trying cute, little socks with pumps, choose a pair of black ones since black goes with everything and is always classic and chic. I would do sheer black socks, light knit black socks, polka dot black socks or fishnet ones like mine. I have re-worn these same socks again with both cute flats and another pair of pumps - outfits to come soon! Oh and I love how I mixed my metals since I chose Fun Silver Earrings and a Big Fun Silver Cocktail Ring to go with my Gold Pumps. The gold of the sunglasses matched the shoes, too. Have you ever tried the sock trend?! Have you ever worn trouser socks with pumps and paired them with pants or jeans?! And if you are even bolder, have you ever tried socks like these with pumps or heels and a skirt or a dress?! Let me know.
In my "Little Red Dress for Hospital Gala" post last week you all loved, loved the little red dress I chose for the hospital fundraiser cocktail event party I attended, and how I styled it. Thank you all so much. There were over 80 outfits linked and I saw a lot of skirts and dresses in the mix. But most of my features today are wearing pants. Let's call it "The Cool, Stylish and Modern Pant Parade". My featured blogger this week though always rocks a good skirt and a cute dress!
This week's featured blogger is ELSIE from Polished Whimsy who linked up three posts and in this particular one I featured, she shows us several Spring Transition Outfits and I loved every single one of them. Choosing these two above for the collage was a difficult choice let me tell you. Elsie always looks stunning in her collection of skirts and dresses. But I love how she styled the Fun Chambray Dress with Nude Spring Open-Toe Booties and that Amazing and Unique Striped Circle Straw Bag. Circle Straw bags are really in this Spring but I have not seen one like Elsie's. It is so cute, girly and special. In her second outfit she is wearing such a feminine Knee-Length Red Skirt with the Most Beautiful Floral Pumps which match her Colorful Pom Pom Earrings perfectly. But I truly love that moto jacket in that sweet Sky Blue Color. Elsie loves wearing color (like me) and she loves to wear a lot of skirts and dresses (also like me lol). She is a lawyer and a mother to a young girl so as a professional woman and a girl mama myself we have that in common, too. Her blog is so inspiring especially if your life-style is more work-chic and business-casual. Her outfits are always bright and put-together.
Fonda perfectly wears olive and blush pink for Spring - a color duo I love together - with that cute light floral scarf and I just love her trousers. It is a great, put-together 'Spring Outfit'.
Speaking of Spring Outfits, Ashley has transitioned that 'Crimson and Blue' plaid coat beautifully into early Spring by matching the colors of her coat to her jeans, blouse and fun red pumps.
Samantha is another blogger who wears color so well and I am crushing hard on her 'Yellow Trousers' and how she styled them. The denim bomber jacket is fun and unique and I am loving the athleisure appeal with crisp white sneakers which are always stylish.
The Fabulous Linda is also wearing light pink trousers. Her 'Blush Pant Suit' is soft and elegant. She also runs a style linkup on Thursdays (today) so join it!
I can totally see myself wearing this outfit. I would have to ditch the heels. Since I don't wear heels now of days. I have done the whole fun sock and shoe trend before and love it. I hope you are having a great week.
ReplyDeleteI will be linking my outfit up tomorrow.

That touch of millennial pink in the sweater stripes is just perfect! Girl I do the same thing where I buy something that I do really love but for some weird reason I just don't wear it for forever! Glad you finally got to wear this one during the never ending winter. Have a great weekend!

I haven't worn socks with heels (other than sheer nude) in quite some time, but it's fun to see the style coming back!

Yhao brand socks are so special that I have ordered many times! I sell them well in my store, many yoga lovers are satisfied with the non-slip yoga socks which can keep them stable no matter what activity they are performing. wholesalesocksbulk.com
ReplyDeleteHaving these options gives customers peace of mind that they are getting a great product. It doesn’t help that most of these products are expensive. Some brands counter this by offering deals occasionally, especially for low-income people who need a job to improve their quality of life. Check back every so often to see if you can get a good deal. The price might be the last thing on our list, but that doesn’t change how critical a factor this is for some. Some brands offer the same effects at a reduced price. Shop around and compare different ingredients, products, and brand reputations to get the best value for money. follicle tests work similarly to other drug tests. The lab technician takes a few strands from your scalp and exposes them to chemical testing to determine if there are any toxins present, such as amphetamines, methamphetamines, cocaine, ecstasy, and marijuana. All the different drugs respond to different chemicals, but the results are almost always accurate. It’s rare to get a false positive with a hair drug test. The test is divided into two separate parts to ensure accurate results: If the strand comes back negative on an ELISA test, then it won’t have to go through the next phase of testing. The 90 day timeframe is based off of the average hair growth of a half inch per month. The required length of hair for a test is 1.5 inches, which is three months of hair growth. Drugs may be detected in body hair past 90 days if this hair doesn’t get shaved often. Yes. Drug toxins travel through your bloodstream and into all of your hair follicles on your head and body. The accuracy of body hair testing and head hair testing is the same. The difference between the two is the length of time that drugs may be detected.
