Black, Boom, Bang!!
BLACK, BOOM, BANG!!
I feel like I need to explain the title of this post. Well first of I am wearing black head to toe (which is rare for me - I love color) and look at this sexy black outfit: "boom", "bang" it it is all that and a fine glass or wine, no?! But on a deeper level, metaphorically the title of the post describes my thoughts now. It is half-way through January (a new year started a little over 2 weeks ago) and I have only posted TWO New Outfits so far in the New Year. Between being sick, cold sores that took forever to heal and personal things I have gone through, add on top of that temperatures of 15 degrees or lower and days in a row of freshly-fallen snow and icy roads and I haven't had the time, interest, nerves or thought about taking outfit photos. Heck, I haven't even worn any cute outfits or felt good about myself or the outfits I wore. But on Sunday - the day I wore this outfit and took these photos - I decided to get dressed up, wear a few new pieces (camisole and leggings) and take myself out on a date and even meet 2 friends a little later for wine and appetizers. So I came back with a bang because I wore an outfit I am proud to say I love and felt fabulous in ...and boom here is a sexy, all-in-black look which would be perfect for upcoming Valentine's Day if you are celebrating with your honey or for your best Singles/Girls Night Out night ever! Black is sexy, black is elegant, black is sensual, black is beautiful and black is forever and ever classy and classic. Black is the new black and I have a feeling I will wear it a lot in 2018. I even wore a head to toe black outfit today for a work meeting.

SEXY + ELEGANT HEAD TO TOE BLACK OUTFIT.
So, at first I thought I would add a redish-burgundy clutch to this outfit - since it was all black-out. But, at the last minute I opted for this Croc-Embossed Bag instead (borrowed off my mom's closet). And I am glad I did. If you can count them, there are 7 black items in my outfit: pumps, leggings, camisole, handbag, bracelet, earrings, choker. Heck, I even have black hair and I didn't have a pop of color anywhere, even my lipstick is colorless, nude. You may or may not be surprised too that most of my pieces are from Target. The Black Faux Suede Pumps I have had for a year. The Asymmetric, Ruffled, Silky Black Camisole is new and it is by Who What Wear as are these Smooth, Shiny Black Stirrup Leggings (I couldn't find them online, unfortunately). But this camisole is gorgeous, so pretty and flattering on, I am wearing a Small but I could have even done the XS. I love that the length is right enough for these leggings which feel like skinny pants because of the elegant seamed-front detail and the built-in pockets on the back. They are smooth, elegant, classic and sexy so go to your local Target by the Who What Wear area and grab yourselves a pair. I am wearing a size 4 or a Small. The Pom Pom Statement Earrings by SugarFix via BaubleBar from Target are also new and the only thing I have bought for myself in 2018. I treated myself to some new beautiful earrings after a few rough days I had. All in all, I loved how this outfit turned out. Certainly a beautiful, put-together look. Add a tailored blazer and you could wear it to work. Add a black leather moto jacket and you got a going-out evening look. Add a denim or utility jacket, swap the pumps for some cute sneakers and you got a chic mom-on-the-go athleisure look. What do you think of my Black, Boom, Bang Look?!

ReplyDeleteThis outfit is sexy and beautiful on you Ada! I really love the top, it's such a good fit. I'm sorry to hear your January hasn't been the best. I don't love the cold and snow at all and always find the winter to be really unmotivating too, but I'm sad to hear you've had some hard times on top of the blah season! Hope you feel better soon!
