Thursday Moda #40: Dresses for Dressember, with Sarah.
First of all, my heart goes out to the citizens of Tennessee for the wildfires they have been having, especially the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives. So tragic.
On a fashion note, it is week 40 of the Thursday Moda and I am introducing a December made mostly of dresses (I am shooting to wear and post a minimum of 20, hopefully 25 dresses), like I mentioned on my other dress post, this week. My blogging friend and today's co host SARAH from My Bows & Clothes actually introduced me to it last year, when she did an entire month of Dressember December which is a great cause by the way. It was fitting that Sarah would be my first co-host for the month of December. We both styled dresses for warm-ish Winter days (bare legs and all). I noticed both of our outfits are pretty dressy yet somewhat casual. The lace hem on Sarah's LBD is wonderful. I love that she paired it with hot pink and turquoise - they both pop! Sarah's life+style blog is as lovely as her curls+smile. Sarah recently celebrated her blogiversary, too. She has a lifestyle linkup on Mondays called "Grace & Lace", make sure you join it. =)
You saw this dress on my blog two weeks ago first paired with White Sneakers and a Neutral Plaid Scarf. Since then I have worn it twice more. Once with a Long Cozy Olive Cardigan and today dressed up with Fuchsia Suede Bow Heels. I added a very cute "I love you" Neck Kerchief and my Bourdeaux Crossbody. Rather than that I only have on Vintage Stud Earrings you can only see through a few of the closeup pictures. You will most likely see this red+blue shirtdress and its green plaid sister again this month, but probably styled with tights.
Heather Gray+White Wool Blanket Scarf: BP via Nordstrom (New) (similar in black, gray+white, Steal, love this), (similar, Fantastic Deal, love this), (similar cozy option w/ fringe hem, Great Deal, my Favorite).
White w/ Red "I Love You" writing, 100% Silk Kerchief Square Scarf: Gap (Old) (similar, Steal, love this), (similar in paisley, Great Deal), (similar, Splurge, my Favorite).
Plum/Burgundy Faux Leather Mini Crossbody Bag: Target (New) (gorgeous quilted option, Steal, love this), (similar in suede from Target, Great Deal, love this), (dressy option in mixed media, Fantastic Deal, my Favorite), (similar, small Splurge, love this).
Black w/ Silver Crystal Pave Square Stud Earrings: Vintage (from mom) (similar, Steal), (gorgeous option, Great Deal, my Favorite), (similar, Splurge, love these).
Hot Pink Nail Polish: NYX via Target (New) (similar, Great Deal, my Favorite), (very similar, love this), (similar, Small Splurge).
Magenta Real Suede Stiletto Sandals w/ Bows on the Ankle: Banana Republic (New) (identical, come in 2 colors, on Sale), (similar, Great Deal), (similar in royal blue, my Favorite (similar, Splurge, love these).
Last week the linkup was light due to Thanksgiving, with only about 50 entries. My favorites today are all from the previous week and having both the holidays and Dressember in mind, I chose all dressy, elegant, fancy looks. I am dying over both of the navy dresses I featured. One is sexy, feminine and velvety. The other one is elegant and timeless. And hey, I am loving navy in general this Fall/Winter 2016 and always!
Today's Featured Blogger is JOHANNA from One Hundred and One Things I Love who linked up the most gorgeous Midnight Blue Velvet Slip Dress, which she styled for a hot date with her husband, in the windy city. But this boudoir beauty can do double duty in the bedroom. The laced-up long tasseled bow around the neck - the way Johanna tied the straps into a necklace - added even more sex appeal. The OTK taupe boots matched the wide lace on the hem and the cropped fur coat was the perfect topper. Johanna is one very stylish, sexy and sophisticated 30-something mom of two young girls. I am always inspired by her outfits and her sense of style. If you don't follow her yet, you are missing out!
Ruth's jeweled-tone outfit is holiday perfection. She gives me more reason to add a pleated 'Metallic Skirt'. The gold paired great with the navy.
Jaime's pairing of 'Camel Vest & Black' is pure elegance. She could wear that to work, a meeting, cocktails or a holiday party.
Tiffany's bold green+blue plaids meshed well since one is bigger, the other is smaller. This is how you you wear 'Plaid on Plaid' this holiday season, in emerald green.
Lizzie is always a fairy princess style-wise. White 'Tulle' paired with fuchsia and glittery accessories is perfect for all the holiday parties or a December wedding.
Nancy means business in sophisticated layering. I call this lace 'Intricacy' and the right way to wear black with navy.
Lorena asks 'Who would wear this?' Hmm, I would! That dark neutral kimono dress is so classy chic.
This week's Fabulous "Thursday Moda" Co-Host: Bows & Clothes.
A snippet of Fall favorites from Sarah who always wears maxis with an ease. I cannot wait to see all the dresses she will wear this December so make sure you stop by her blog also, to see.
From Sarah's Mouth:

And although we spoke at length about the tedious process of using powdered synthetic urine, we still stand by our decision of placing the Test Clear Powdered Urine Kit as our number one choice, given that it offers quality with affordability. Now it’s up to you to pick a synthetic urine brand that best suits your needs and, most importantly, helps you clear that drug test. Again, sorry for the pun – it’s difficult to control. (Wow, we have got to stop. There’s no significant difference between powder or liquid, except in portability. It depends on how inconvenient it is for you to either mix the formula onsite or just bring it ready to heat in a storage bag.
