Thursday Moda #25 and a Maxi Love Affair.
I have never really been a maxi girl. Short dresses and short skirts as well as A-line midi skirts were my thing. Sure, I have owned a few Maxi Dresses and Maxi Skirts over the years but I haven't worn them that much. In the last 2-3 Summers however I have been loving a Maxi so much. This year alone, I have added about 8 Maxi Dresses, including the one today which is quite unique because the length is between a Midi and a Maxi, a tea-length. This year I am having a Maxi Love Affair and I love it. You have seen several Maxi Dresses on the blog this year and I have worn some that haven't been photographed or made it onto the blog. I am usually in a Maxi Dress once or twice a week, this Summer. I love, love, love today's dress from Target's very chic "Who What Wear" line. The light silky chiffon, the muted black+white floral (which looks like a Gray Pattern from far which I love), the perfect-to-wear length that is still comfortable, the elbow sleeves and last but definitely not least the Classy yet Bohemian style of this Dress, make it perfect.
I decided to mix and match my metals with this dress. Gold Sandals with Gold Rings and a Gold Cuff, Silver Necklace with a Silver Wrap Bracelet and my Soft Leather Bronze Bag. A pair of Rayban Aviators and a Nude Lip finished off the look. I felt chic, put-together, on trend and still very at ease and comfortable wearing this outfit. This dress also comes in a Burgundy+White Pattern and my local Target had still several of these Chiffon Maxis left. Try one on, you will love it!

My Maxi Love Affair continues this week with the Featured Beauties who linked up last week where I wore another New Maxi Dress from Target. Though there were so many looks I loved from last week and I swear I wanted to feature like 10 of you today, out of the 100 outfits linked up I narrowed it down to the 4 most favorite Maxi Dresses, though there were several maxis linked up, too. What else do this week's ladies have in common? Blonde hair, neutral-colored shoes, happy patterns and colors on their dresses and lots and lots of style!
This week's Featured Blogger is STEFANIE from The Style Safari whose blog's name totally suits her. Stefanie has amazing style which is bold, colorful, cutting-edge and eye-catching. She is not afraid to try any styles. She also designs and wears a lot of her own clothes like this Orange/Black/White Striped Maxi Dress with fabric she purchased at Joann's. Stefanie says this is one of the easiest things she has ever sewn. But look at that dress, it is quite beautiful and it looks flawless on her. The bracelets she chose match the dress perfectly and look at that incredible bold flower necklace! I have only discovered Stefanie's blog over the last couple of months, though she has blogged for years. She is most definitely my most favorite blogger at the moment because she can wear anything, try any styles and look stunning, ALWAYS. Please start following Stefanie if you don't already.
Laura's 'Printed Maxi Dress' was a steal at $10.00 and her colorblocked blue clutch was perfectly-made for it.
Amy Ann's Maxi Style is very similar to my own from today. She accessorized it with a hat, peep-toe booties and a beautiful ring from 'Uncommon Goods' for a flawless Fall-Forward look.
Rachel's Dress has 'the Best 90s Print' where the teal pops against the pastel lavender. Her two beaded bangles and ivory crocheted wedges are just darling.
P.S. Linking up with Adri + Jessica, Alice, Ana Luiza with Michelle (this week's theme is "Summer Sandal Styles"), Annie, Brooke with Erica, Carrie with Jill, Christie, Claire, Dawn, Grace, Elle with Jacqueline, Heather, Jalynn, Jaymie, Jennie, Joules, Jolynne, Karli, Kelly, Lauren, Linda, Liz, Melissa with Sheree + Rachel, Michelle, Nancy, Nicole, Osy, Rachel, Rosie, Sheela, Tara, Tara (Socialite), Vicki, Whitney Nic and The Wardrobe Stylist.
Lastly, linking with the ladies of "The Blended Blog".

ReplyDeleteYou look great in your maxi dress! I have always loved maxi dresses but in the past few years I have brought and worn a lot more maxi dresses. They are so comfortable and easy to transition from one season to the next!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I'm not a maxi girl either. My lower half of my body is thinner than my top half, so why do I want to cover that up? Love them on everyone else though!
ReplyDeleteLove the shoes Ada and the dress is beautiful! I'm not much of a maxi girl either...
