Same Swing Dress (styled for Winter) with a Change of Accessories.

First of all, I apologize I am still showing Wintery Outfits. From what I know, I think today's are the last two. The weather was far too nice for us this past weekend for me to cover up this much. I changed into a lot of fun Springy clothes, bared my legs and Vivian and I took a lot of OOTD photos too. But, these were taken last weekend (the one with the Leopard Poncho on Friday evening and the one with the White Cardigan on Saturday morning). Most of the outdoor photos came out dark and/or blurry and I re-shoot these outfits indoors, all later on Saturday afternoon. It was far too cold for me to try outside again and plus it had started snowing by then. If you remember, exactly a week ago I showed you the same outfit by switching up most of the accessories and the outer layer/outer piece. Well, I did that again today. Actually not only do I have the same Striped Swing Dress on, the Black Paisley Tights and Black Perforated Booties are the same too, as is the jewelry. I decided to wear all the latest three pieces from my last Rocksbox together. It is hard to see the feather chain necklace but I photographed it close-up in a few pics.

...But what I did change is the third piece - in this case the White Cardigan for a Leopard Poncho and the Purses. In the first outfit I paired my Mom's Hand-Knitted White Cardigan (which she made about 3 decades ago) with a Light, Navy Nautical Blanket Scarf (I recently got on sale from Banana Republic). Matching the Beautiful Aztec Nautical Scarf, I wore my new Royal Blue/Navy Panama Hat recently found at Target. I threw in another Fun Bright Color in the mix - my Quilted Purple Hobo Bag. The second outfit is totally neutral since I have on a Leopard Black+Tan Poncho and my Camel Crossbody Bag which matched the poncho beautifully. Because of the more neutral colors, the pattern mixing between the stripes and leopard was so easy and smooth, in the second outfit. So, how did I layer this Striped Swing Dress for Winter? Which Outfit is your favorite? And in case you are wondering I totally made a thin, short Summery Dress work for a 30-degree day. Though the dress is short-sleeved, I wore a nylon thermal tee underneath it and topped it off with warm, heavy layers. It worked!

Here is an up-close photo without the scarf, so you can better see the jewelry especially the white fringe necklace.

  16. Adorable! I think that the white cardigan and blue hat are my favorite styling. How cool is that that your Mom made the cardigan?! That is so sweet that you have something that she made with her own hands. My Mom made so many dish cloths and kitchen towels and stashed them away that my Dad let me take some of them...and you'd think they were platinum with the way that I act. LOL! Back to your outfit...I had to tell you that I love that little feather in the hat before I forget. You look lovely, Ada! Thank you so much for sharing with us at #UpsyDaisyLinkup!
