Floral Midi Skirt Week: Faking a Dress and a Pink Girly Hat.
During August and September I have worn several different Floral Midi Skirts (most of which are the circle, A-line style). I knew I had a lot of Floral Midi Skirts, but not until this Summer did I really know how many I had (at least 10! lol). I added 3 New Floral Midi Skirts this Summer alone: one very dressy, one casual and one in between. I figured, since I have plenty outfits from these last two months with my Floral Midi Skirts, I dedicate this entire week to them, no?
Occasion: Morning Tea with Lady Friends and Sunday Brunch.
The Skirt today is at least 6 or 7 years old. It goes to show you that styles come and get recycled, slightly modified or get a little face-lift more often than we think. I purchased this Silk Shantung Rose-Print Skirt from Express. I also purchased the Matching Tank Top. The Tank has a little ruching on the front and it's in a comfortable cotton. As I mentioned above it was worn on an early August morning for tea and later for brunch with some girlfriends. The place we were going has a retro polished vibe and old-fashioned elegance, however they are more relaxed in the morning time than in the evening. Pairing these two matching pieces (another thing currently in style: matching sets) with a Girly, Baby Pink Straw Hat with a Big Ivory Bow on the back, Pink Lipstick, a Heart Cocktail Ring and my Beaded Silver Thong Sandals worked out fine for the daytime on a very hot 92-degree morning. That is why I opted for almost no jewelry with the exception of my Wedding Rings and my Cocktail Ring. What do you think? Are you all in for Pretty Floral, Circle Midi Skirts? And how do you feel about matching Skirt+Shirt sets?

ReplyDeleteA week full of midi dresses - cant wait! Love the floral colors in this one! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteYou DO have a lot of floral dresses! I think I have just one and I got it from Stitch Fix a couple years ago. I have a lot of items in my closet that are old, but have held up well and if they are still in style I still wear them! That dress is so adorable with the pink hat!

I really like the look of matching sets when they're done well and this really is. In fact you fooled me, I thought it was a dress! I would like to add a full floral midi- or mid-length skirt to my wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteJust a perfect matching set, I almost thought it was a dress myself. I love a good floral item in my wardrobe and need to add more. Hope you are well.
