Start the Week Off Stylish: Romper and Link-up.
Can anyone believe today is the last day of August and technically the last real month of Summer? To say that this past August has been extremely busy (yet fun and fulfilling) for me, would be a huge understatement. I am back from vacation, though the weather wasn't very nice or warm this time around. But we still relaxed, did a lot of walking down-town St. Joseph, MI, ate at different nice restaurants, did a lot of sightseeing, swam at the pool (and even at the lake one day) and much more. (Stay tuned for the "much more" part on an upcoming post.) This Monday I am back with Michelle and Ana Luiza as the co-host for their Mondays Link-Up: "Start the Week Off Stylish". The prompt for today and this week is Rompers and/or Jumpers. So, welcome and join us three today. You can link up a romper, a jumper or any other fashion post.
I own 5 Rompers (the Silky Navy one from today, another Navy with White Polka Dots, a Brown one - which I cannot seem to find - and 2 Floral Ones) but this by far is my most favorite one and if I am not mistaken the only one I packed for when I left Albania to come to USA, 4 weeks ago. See, this Romper is super flattering, simple and quite versatile. The style is easy-breezy, casual and classic. The silky material is dressy enough yet so easy to wash. This Romper can easily be dressed up or down (sort of like I have done today in this Transition from Summer to Fall post). Speaking of this Navy Romper, I also packed it last week on my vacation to St. Joseph that I talked about last Monday, but it never got worn. It's OK because I am wearing it today as I am typing this post, so look for an upcoming way to style/wear it, again. However, this Monday I bring you a two-ways-to-wear post of styling the same piece from Summer into (early) Fall. I plan on doing this same feature every Monday in September so stay tuned.
So, how did I transition this Navy Romper from Summer to Fall? The first outfit was from mid July and is more casual. Pairing the Romper with Bright Kelly Green Sandals, a Neon Druzzy (Statement) Necklace and Bright Blue Button Earrings definitely adds more to the Summery feel. The second outfit was worn in late August (just yesterday) and it is more dressy, worn on a lunch date. To take it into Fall, I added a Tan/Nude Faux Fur Shrug, a Gold+Burnt Orange Cuff, Cognac Mary Jane Wedges and a Black with Gold Chain Strap Cross-body Bag. I totally shopped my US closets for the shrug plus cuff and borrowed the bag from my mom. Even my makeup is more fall-like. I have on a plum lip and a dark emerald eyeliner (linked below for you). What do you think of how I wore this Romper from Summer to Fall?
Navy, Silky, Camisole-Style Short Romper w/ Pockets: Armani Exchange (very similar), (similar w/ sweetheart neckline, Splurge, love this), (similar casual option, great deal), (gorgeous dressy option w/ lace, best deal, my favorite).
Neon, Gold-Tone Statement Necklace w/ Pear-Shaped Druzy Stones: A Local Boutique (gorgeous option by Bauble Bar, my favorite), (fun bib option, best deal, love this), (fun cluster option).
Cobalt Blue, Plastic Button Earrings: Fred's Jewelry (similar, great deal, love these), (similar, gorgeous sunburst option by House of Harlow, my favorite), (sparkly pave option by Vera Wang, best deal).
Light Gray/Clear+Silver, 2-Stranded Beaded Bracelet w/ Tassel Charm: White House Black Market (very similar, best deal, love this), (similar multi bracelets, fantastic deal, love these), (gorgeous, intricate stretchy cuff option).
Bright, Kelly Green Strappy Sandals: Simple Shoes (New) (similar, trendy option), (similar, love this), (dressy stiletto option by Guess, love this).
I love that both of the hosts today wore Neutral-Colored Rompers/Jumpers as well. Ana Luiza's Romper is similar in style to mine and she even topped it off with a Jacket like I did. She also has on Cognac Wedges like me and accessorized with a Cross-body Bag, too. While, Michelle looks so modern and relaxed in that beautiful Heather Gray Jumpsuit (which I want) and Tan Leather Tote.
