Shorts and Floral.
Summers are hot in my parts of the world. This Summer has been no exception though it hasn't been as hot and humid as some other years, where it is in the 90s every day. However, as a Stay-at-Home Mom (mostly) and chasing after a young toddler, I have worn a lot of Shorts, usually with Sandals or Flats, sometimes with Sneakers. Especially during daytime: my morning coffee, walks with Vivian and day errands usually find me wearing Shorts. Today's post shows you 3 Outfits worn sometime this month, all featuring Shorts and Floral.
First up my Graphic Floral Lime Green+Neon, Gorgeous New Shorts paired with an Off-White Tee that has Crystal Embellishment on the chest area. The Watercolor Green Keds go well without being matchy-matchy. And due to being hot all I accessorized with were a couple of Bracelets and a Cocktail Ring matching the Colors of the Outfit.
Hand Jewelry:
Bright Yellow, Stretchy, Triangle+Small Circle, Lucite Beaded Bracelet: American Fashion & Jewelry (gorgeous yellow option, on sale, love this).
Green "Mushroom", Painted Cocktail Ring w/ Rhinestones: A Jewelry Boutique for $1.00.
Mint+Gold, Twisted, Silk Ribbon Bangle: Viggos.
Silver, Thick, Intricate Chain Bracelet: Lord & Taylor (very similar), (similar w/ heart pendant), similar, best deal).
Off-White, Short-Sleeve Tee w/ Large Ivory Stone Embellishments on the front (inside a mesh fabric): The Limited (gorgeous cropped option by Nicole Miller, best deal), (similar by Dorothy Perkins, great deal, love this), (similar by Miss Me, love this).
Lime Green/Black/Neon Tropical Leaf-Print, Cuffed Shorts: c/o Sabra (New) (similar gorgeous option by J.Crew, on sale, love these), (similar by Forever 21, best deal, love these), (similar relaxed style, great deal).
Green/Teal/Yellow Watercolor Sneakers: Keds (New) (similar, blue/green floral Keds, love these), (similar, bright green Keds, best deal), (similar camo floral, love these).
Here I wore my Denim Shorts from Gap with a Floral Purple/Gray/Fuchsia Ruched Tank by Express. The Pewter Beaded Sandals went with the Colors of the top well and I also accessorized with a simple Necklace and Bangle. But my Iridescent Lavender Ring & Hair Clip matched the different shades of Purple nicely.
Hand and Hair Accessories:
Ivory Plastic Bangle: Express (similar by Kate Spade, great deal), (similar, ivory+smoke water-color, great deal, love this).
Silver, Thick, Intricate Chain Bracelet: Lord & Taylor (very similar), (similar w/ heart pendant), similar, best deal).
Real Silver Ring w/ Semi-Precious Oval Iridescent Stone: Kohl's (very similar, in faux silver, best deal), (similar gorgeous option, great deal, love this), (similar w/ teardrop-shaped stone, love this).
Real Silver Ring w/ Tiny Turquoise Stone: Express (very similar), (similar w/ large stone, best deal, love this).
Pink+Green, Plastic Hair Claw w/ tiny Flower: A Local Accessories Boutique (New).
Gray/Purple/Magenta Floral, Ruched, Faux Wrap Tank Top: Express (similar w/ fringe, best deal), (dressy option w/ cut-out, love this), (similar w/ mirror effect, great deal, love this).
Medium-Wash, Blue Jean Shorts w/ side zipper detail: Gap (very similar, this year's 1969 version by Gap, love these), (similar destructed pair by Gap, best deal), (similar BF style by Gap). Gap makes some Great Shorts especially Denim ones so these are all worth taking a look, at.
Black Beaded Crystal Necklace w/ rectangle drop stone in the middle: Ann Taylor (similar, simple beaded, best deal), (long option w/ beaded tassel, great deal, love this).
Pewter, Neutral-Metallic, Beaded, Thong Sandals: Old Navy (very similar, in gold), (very similar, in silver, on sale), (similar, best deal).
Here I wore my Cobalt+White Floral/Leaf Print Shorts by Express. The Satin Sash I tied around my waist comes with the Shorts. The Tank Top has an Eyelet V-Neck and it has a Racer Back (I apologize about the quality of the photos). I added the same little Beaded Black Necklace as the only Accessory and my Royal Blue Jelly Sandals were the perfect match.
White, 100% V-Neck, Racer-Back Tank w/ Eyelet detail: Aeropostale (similar), (similar, love this), (similar, love this).
Cobalt Blue & White Tropical Leaf-Print Shorts (come with the Satin Sash): Express (similar in jacquard, great deal, love these), (similar w/ daisies, best deal, love these), (gorgeous option by Thakoon).
Black Beaded Crystal Necklace w/ rectangle drop stone in the middle: Ann Taylor (similar, simple beaded, best deal), (long option w/ beaded tassel, great deal, love this).
Pink+Green, Plastic Hair Claw w/ tiny Flower: A Local Accessories Boutique (New).
Electric Blue, Jelly Sandals w/ Neon Circle Decorations: Simple Shoes (similar, great deal), (similar 2), (similar 3).
I have a very busy day ahead of me as I am packing since we leave tomorrow for our last of Vacation days and I also have some last-minute cooking and cleaning to do before leaving. I will try to schedule a couple of posts ahead and get started on my 30 for 30 challenge, but it probably won't happen before Tuesday or Wednesday next week. However, stop by here on Monday September 1st because I am co-hosting the "Monday Morning Gossip" with Leeann and Kimberlee, on Labor Day. So welcome by and link up anything with us, it doesn't have to be fashion-related. Thank You All. =) And Thanks for reading, too.
Have a Fantastic, Relaxing, Fun and Sun-filled Labor Day Weekend!! Be Good!!
Love the second outfit. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe 2nd is my favorite also. Enjoy the weekend as well!
DeleteI want a close-up shot of those adorable Keds! I have been wanting a pair since I saw Taylor Swift wearing bunches of cute ones in a commercial!
ReplyDeleteFirst, I have to say you are the best at supporting other bloggers through your kind and thoughtful comments! I always appreciate your comments and sorry to have been failing at keeping up lately! As you know I'm a huge shorts fan, and it looks like you have a great collection! I love those blue & white printed shorts (probably not surprising that they just happen to be from Express!) But really, each of these outfits are very cute and summery and perfect for a mom-on-the-go!

Oh Ada! Thanks for sharing your cute short ensembles. However, I am not posting this Monday because of Labor Day. My husband has a fun thing (surprise) planned for me. But I can join ya for sure next week on the 8th, the magical day that I will no longer feel chemo's bite. Have a great holiday and thanks for joining Fashion item Friday so faithfully. (hope your hop turns out great) ♥
