Mom Wear to Work Wear: Raspberry, Strapless, A-line Dress.
I am posting this really late today, but better late than never. I look forward to these "Mom Wear to Work Wear" Styling Posts because I am all about remixing my closet and styling the same piece in several different ways. Last week I styled my Black+White Polka Dot Dress which I must say was very easy to style. Today's Dress is harder to style since it is a Strapless Midi-Skirt one in a Light Cotton+Organza mix of fabrics. This Dress is from The Limited Event, which means it is from their Dressier/Event line. Yet I was able to style it in a Casual Way (worn just yesterday as the Mom Wear) and even for Work, despite the Full A-line Skirt.
I love the Raspberry-Red Color of this Dress. The Color alone makes it stand out. For the Mom Look (which like I mentioned I wore yesterday) I wore it for an afternoon coffee and errands with Vivian. As soon as she saw this Dress on me, she checked me out head to toe for about 10-15 seconds, then gave me a huge smile and put her hands in front of me to give me a hug. I guess the color and shape of it mesmerized her. I chose a Statement Necklace and Dangly Earrings Set in the same Color as the Dress, a couple of Pastel Bangles, I wore my Nude Peep-Toe Rainbow-Dotted Wedges and carried a Color-blocked Cross-body Bag. A light Smoky Eye and Coral-Pink Lip-gloss polished off the look. For the Office Look (note: this would work for a semi-casual office, definitely not one where suits, pencil skirts and heels are required daily) I kept the same Jewelry minus the Dangly Earrings and added my Teal, Elbow-Sleeve Cardigan. I kept on the same Shoes since they are Dressy enough and work well with both the Colors of the Dress and the Cardi and I carried a little Briefcase-shaped, Faux Alligator Green Bag. Last but not least the same makeup would work for the office as well. Very subtle changes between both looks but it worked to make each Outfit a little bit different, no? Have you ever worn a Strapless Dress in a Bright Color to work? Of course, since this one is longer on the hemline and not very fitted, topped off with a Cardigan or Blazer, it can totally work for the work-place.

I think this is my absolute favorite outfit. Beautiful mix of colors. I am not a super fan of the bags you chose, but this is coming from someone who carries the same black purse all the time. :) Good job!
