Budget Babes: Summer Trends - The Statement Necklace.
If you stopped by my blog yesterday, you know that this week is all about Budget-Conscious Outfits for under 75 bucks, featuring Summer Trends. Today, the Sweet Maria of Not Fancy Just Life and I are showing you Statement Necklaces. Then we have Graphic Tees tomorrow for Wednesday, Midi Dresses/Skirts for Thursday and Gladiator Sandals for Friday. It is also the second day of the link-up (below) so join us. =)
My Statement Necklace is an Asymmetric Cluster Necklace in a rainbow of Colors and I simply love it. I discovered the most gorgeous little accessories boutique and the day I stepped in they were having a sale on their Necklaces, for $5, $10 and $15 each. This was purchased for $15.00 but I also purchased a few more. I have seen the same or very similar necklaces on EBay for 22 bucks, on Bauble Bar for close to $45 and such. But the most I'd spent for a Trendy Statement Necklace is 20 bucks. Luckily this one is thick and nicely-made. As if the Necklace wasn't enough, this Outfit has a lot going on but it works. I mixed Prints (Stripes, Butterflies and Polka Dots - oh my!); there are lots of Bows (Shoes, Belt, Top and Hair Tie); and quite a few Colors too (Fuchsia, Gray, Brown and Light Blue). Though I pulled my hair up, I decided against Earrings and just a couple of Little Bracelets, since my Necklace was plenty of a Statement already. The Shorts were $9.00, the Top was $6.00, the Bracelets were $25, the Shoes $15, the Belt $3.00 and the Hair Bow was 50 cents. That totals to $73.50. Keeping it close here but still under 75 bucks. What do you think of this Outfit full of Colors, Prints and Bows? Does the pattern-mixing work?
Maria is wearing a Gorgeous Coral and Silver Crystal Necklace, dressing up her Capri Pants. Just like me, Maria's Outfit today is a Casual one, but she looks great in a small budget.
The Spotlight Weekly this week with Elle and Jaqcueline is Chambray and my Cool Striped Shorts are Chambray.
...While the Trend Spin Link-up with Erin and Laura, today is all about Bows. And look at ALL the Bows I have in my Outfit. I love that the Cute Butterflies on my Pretty Top look like Bows, also. =)

This is a cute top! I usually don't wear earrings when I wear a statement necklace either.
ReplyDeleteLove the pattern mixing in the outfit. Great price on the statement necklace as well. I normally don't pay more than $20 myself on those items and always see it as a SCORE when I get it for less!.
