1 of 30 and 2 of 30: Winter Nauticals.
So it begins, the first day and first two Outfits of my 30 for 30 challenge. Because I am starting a day late you get a Two-fer today. And just like that I wore my Black+White Striped Tee for the first two outfits in a row, so since both Outfits are quite different consider it a Dressy and a Casual Remix. I am titling this Post Winter Nauticals because both of these Outfits (especially the first one) give me that vibe. And during this challenge, I will do a Pros+Cons for each Outfit (to see how they rate, in my opinion).
I wore this first Outfit of the 30 for 30 challenge for a job-related thing. I had to leave my house at 7.30 A.M. (but I took the photos after I got home, due to time restraints that early in the morning). I am so glad to finally wear this Lovely Cobalt Pencil Skirt from my Favorite Store - The Limited. I was going to forego a Necklace but at the last minute I added my Dainty Silver one with the Rhinestone Bunny (matches the Crystals across the Striped Tee). I wish you could better see my Earrings too. They are Dangly little Black Chandeliers, sort of Antique-looking. How do you like this Outfit? Do you own a Cobalt Pencil Skirt?
Here are the 2 Outfits side by side: the Dressy and then the Casual version of this Striped Tee. Which one do you like best?
Pros: I love pairing Cobalt with Black+White. I also like how the Gold Buttons mesh well with the Silver Embellishment on the Shirt, the mixing of the metals.
Cons: The Dark (Black) Tights with the Light (Nude) Pumps. I don't hate the combo of the Shoes with the Tights, but I'd preferred a Black Pump (which was not included in my 30 for 30 remix), or to have gone bare-legged but it was too cold for that, unfortunately. Also, right before taking these pics, Vivian hugged me with sticky fingers so my Lovely Blazer got stained with the first wear (as you can tell in some of the pictures). I already took it to the cleaners, after one wear through the challenge.

Black, Medium-Opaque Tights: Old Navy.
Nude, Round-Toe, Patent Leather Pumps: Apartment 9 (Kohl's).
The second outfit was worn later that day, in the afternoon. I went to a Cafe with Vivian. It was breezy and over-cast. I wore this Python-like Printed Red+Cobalt Scarf (for the first time ever - due to the fact that I have a million scarves lol) and it might be one of my favorites because I love the color-blocking. The Red adds the right splash of color to an otherwise (mostly) Blue+Black Outfit. There is a pop of Turquoise too through my Parrot Earrings & Bow Headband. And yes I wore the Scarf the whole time but I took some photos without it to show you how it looks without the Scarf and I like both Outfits. Do you own a Mixed-Prints or Color-Blocked Scarf yet? They can totally change the look of a Neutral or Monochrome Outfit.
Don't you love the out-take on the middle photo? Hahaha, I had to include it since it is so funny. I am posing while Vivian is walking, each doing their own thing. LOL
Pros: Lots of Basic pieces into one Nice Casual Outfit: Cognac Boots, Cognac Belt, Black Skinny Jeans, B+W Striped Tee & Denim Jacket. The Colorful Scarf makes it all better.
Cons: None. I really love the Outfit. Simple, easy, casual yet put together. If anything the quality of the photos is not the best in these photos. There was too much lighting inside and the pictures of this Outfit didn't come out great.
