Green, Paisley and Round Belly.

Good Morning Everyone. It is almost 10.00 AM here and I have a few free minutes at work so I figured I should benefit and squeeze in a post, early in the morning. You might get a second post today, in the evening (when I am home), since I have quite a few outfits not posted. Anyways... it continues to be hot here through the day. However early mornings (let's say until 8.30 AM) and later in the evening (passed 8.00 PM) we get a cool breeze. It gets even cooler later in the evening so that's good. At least we can sleep a little easily through the night. Though, truth be told I have my fan on all night, in our bedroom. While I am welcoming the temperature drop, even if it is just early mornings and evenings/nights, it makes it harder to dress for work. By the time I leave work it is so freaking hot that you definitely need short-sleeves, sleeveles, skirts, dresses or shorts on. I think I need to start carrying cardigans or light pull-overs to throw on, in the morning when I go to work or in the evenings.

Today's outfit is sort of Monochromatic. True the skirt is beige and the top is dark green, but the skirt has a small paisley print in a lighter green. These soft cotton T-shirts are so comfortable. I own them in 4 colors, from The Limited. I purchased them last summer. They are a little stretchy too and fit quite nicely over the belly that is growing. It is funny though, with some clothes, you can definitely tell I am pregnant though still little, and with others, not. In this outfit, my belly is quite round for you all to see. Usually with longer tees over my skirts, the shape looks better and the belly comes out more. =)

Forest Green, Scoop-Neck, Short-Sleeve, Soft Cotton Tee: The Limited.
Silk, A-Line, Beige Skirt w/ Light Green Paisley Print: Gap.
Black, Jet Stone, Glass-Beaded, Dangly Earrings w/ Silver Accents: White House Black Market.
Vintage-Looking, Dark Gold, Butterfly & Rhinestone Cocktail Ring: Parfois.
Black & Silver, Gladiator, Strappy Sandals: Il Cammini.

  1. Ooh! I really like this green color on you. The skirt is gorgeous with the paisley print and it's silk! So flowy and feminine. Heather

    1. Yes, I actually own a lot of silk skirts and there was one year where Gap had a lot of silk skirts and tops (about 5 years ago - this skirt is old). I am actually wearing a silk skirt today, from Banana Republic. =)

  2. Forest green is one of the most flattering colors on earth; it doesn't matter if you're a color girl or a neutrals girl because it's a crowd pleaser. I like how you paired it with the lighter colors!

    P.S
Your shoes are gorgeous! Where did you get them?

The sandals I got them in Europe. It's an Italian brand called "Il Cammini" - it means "The Footsteps". You can check them out online.

  3. I didn't really think about it until I started seeing bloggers talk about it, but pretty much none of your clothes fit when you're pregnant after a while, huh?

    1. Sarah, I am a little bit over 4 months now, 4 months and a week to be precise and I still have not needed Pregnancy Clothes. I am working with the clothes I currently have in my wardrobe. Of course, I am choosing more loose and flowy things, but still. And yes, when you get pregnant, mostly your belly changes so your waist will too. But likely I want get much bigger everyhwere. =)

  4. I think that color is a very flattering one on you. You're lucky that you can make due with your regular clothes for awhile into your pregnancy. I think your skirt has a great print. Hope you're keeping cool out there.

    1. I love this forest green. I need stuff more in it. I would love a V-neck sweater in this color. Actually I think this color would look FAB on you, Megan - try it.

Yes, most of my skirts with elastic waist are working for me this summer and most of them are at least knee-length or even below the knee, so even if I pull them up a little higher it's OK for work.
