Favorite Shorts - 2 ways.

There are basically two types of Outfits I wear for casual days all Summer long: one would be Dresses (I shared my love for them very recently) and the second would be Shorts with a Tank Top, Tee, Sleeveless Button Down or Sleeveless Blouse (like I am doing today). 2 Summers ago I went on a shorts shopping spree. I purchased 3 pairs from Gap, and about 7-8 pairs from Old Navy, all on sale or clearance and I loved all the ones I chose. I still think that this Black+White Ikat pair from Old Navy are my Favorite Shorts. The fact that I have worn them a lot over the past 2 Summers plus this year, proves that. Plus they go with everything and can easily be dressed down like today or dressed up for a date.
First Look I am pairing them with this Summer's Favorite Tank. I purchased this Navy+White Tank from H&M. I love the open back (it sort if has a wrap-style on the back) and it is perfectly Nautical also. Plus the material on this is superb: the navy part is the softest cotton jersey almost wrinkle-free, while the white part is a little chiffon/sateen mix - the top white part is slightly see-through. I have worn this tank top 3 times already though it hasn't made the blog before. I cannot wait to dress it up for a date with some red. And come back here tomorrow to see another new Navy Top I recently got. Oh and I realize I am doing black, white and navy but it worked, no? Do you own a top in this style? How do you wear it?
Silver Tone, Doouble-stranded Long Necklace w/ White & Clear Stones: The Limited (similar, on sale), (similar in white+gold beads by WHBM, best deal, love this), (similar multi-stranded option by RJ Graziano, great deal, my favorite).
Dainty Gold-tone Earrings w/ Cubic Crystal, 4-Colored Stones: Fred's Jewelry (similar by Givenchy, fantastic deal, love these), (gorgeous option by Swarovski, great deal), (similar by Bebe, best deal, love these).

This time the Shorts got paired with a Yellow Popover Blouse. I went for a Long Necklace in gold chains, white and neon colors. To sort of match the neon+gold colors of the necklace and since this is a Summer look, I wore a Cute Colored (Orange) Bra underneath my blouse and piled on some Gold Bracelets, too. As you can tell with both of these Outfits I did a Long Necklace (they are perfect to wear with simple tops, for Summer) and Thong Sandals. As soon as I wore these Shorts with a Yellow Top I knew it was familiar. I was imediately reminded of this outfit from last Summer. In that same remix post, you will find another way I have styled my Favorite Shorts, pattern-mixing them. I do love yellow with black and white, what about you?
