Thursday Moda #165: Polished Banana Republic.

As I am typing this, Khalid is singing live the song "Better" on The Billboard Awards. I am currently watching it LIVE. Not only is Kelly Clarkson a Fabulous Host but also an amazing singer. Kelly Clarkson is the ultimate American Idol - the very first winner back 17 years ago but by far the best! Kelly sang snippets of at least a dozen songs that are current hits, when she opened this year's Billboards. I also loved the opening - Taylor Swift singing her brand new single "Me" on a pastel scene matching her Unicorn-Colored Girly Candy Outfit. I think "Me" is already a hit! I also loved loved Hasley's performance and I am sure we will hear a lot about it because of all the dancing and performance that was attached to it. She definitely didn't play it safe - from her outfit, the lyrics, the choreography, the girl-on-girl intimate moments or even her very revealing and cheeky outfit. Did you watch The Billboard Awards 2019?!

POLISHED  BANANA  REPUBLIC.
Banana Republic has such a polished aesthetic. You can always count on Banana for chic and sophisticated pieces made for work: cropped pants, trousers, pencil skirts, shirt-dresses, wool and cashmere sweaters, pretty tops, blouses, blazers, silk scarves, leather bags, beautiful well-made jewelry and trench-coats. All my three garment pieces today are by Banana Republic and I totally feel polished in them. I created a suit out of separate pieces with this Light Yellow Collarless Ponte Blazer, a Stunning Navy+White Striped Shell with the most fun double bows and these Light Wool-Blend, Bright-Red Dressy Cropped Pants. Every piece was purchased at a different time yet all three are classic, posh and elegant and perfect for an office environment. Matching my red trousers, I am wearing my Red Lace+Crystal Embellished Leather Oxford Shoes (from Albania). My hair is in a bun with a Silver Shimmery Hair Elastic. And I usually wear studs with these kind of office looks, but I opted for some fun, dangly, statement-making pearl earrings by Forever 21. I must say I am loving the combination of red with mellow yellow and will repeat these colors again this Spring and Summer. What about you?! Do you shop for office clothes at Banana?!

Last week you all loved our Mommy+Me Matchy Victoria Beckham looks with our pretty Peplum-Hemmed Dresses and Leopard Cardigans. Those are also two of my favorite dressy outfits featuring dresses, that Vivian and I have worn. Thank you all so much. I had a tough time narrowing it down to the following six favorites below. Ultimately I settled on these pretty Spring Looks where I noticed so many florals, pretty-in-pink, beautiful blue, a side of stripes and some lovely dresses! Let's take a look. =)

Di always looks polished for work. I actually picked up a pretty pink/black/white floral wrap dress myself this Spring. I loved Di's dress and in this post you will see more 'Spring Florals for Easter Week' outfits.
Posing like a model, Tatiana polishes up a pair of cropped denim with a striped+masculine blazer and feminine pink pumps. Her 'Spring Jacket' is most definitely my favorite piece.
Nailil is wearing the most perfect striped dress from Amazon. It is on my wish-list and I think it will be one of my birthday presents. 'The Blue Stripes Dress that's Perfect for Spring' indeed!
'In the Pink' Gail wows in this button-front midi skirt. She remixed the skirt twice but I fell in love with this look featuring a pink rose blouse, white sandals and Pepto-Bismol (how she calls it) purse.
That 'Floral Embroidered Mesh Dress' is a stunner on the stunning Lorita. Complete with the perfect classic+edgy black clutch and go-with-everything black stiletto sandals.
Last but not least fellow Michigan blogger Jennifer, styled a 'Timeless Timepiece' by showcasing a Millennial Pink strap new watch paired with matching paperbag pants which I love, love, love!
