Thursday Moda #140: Abercrombie and Fitch.

Happy Hump Day Friends! Today's post is brought to you by Abercrombie and Fitch. No, Abercrombie and Fitch didn't sponsor it (I wish) but my Heather Grey Marled Oversized Tunic Henley Top, the Busted-Knee Distressed Blue Skinny Jeans and the Best Black Lace Bralette (money can buy) are ALL by Abercrombie and Fitch. They were all purchased within the year. Actually the henley top is very recent but I have bought the denim and bralette almost a year ago and I have worn each at least 10 times. They are the Best Lightly-Distressed Skinny Jeans in the perfect medium to dark blue wash as well as the Best Lace Bralette. As a matter of fact I also own the bralette in a hunter green color and you will see that styled sometime for the holidays. The bralette currently comes in a millennial pink and an off-white/ivory color and I will buy both of those next! The bralette snaps in the front and it has very light removable pads. It is so gorgeous and sexy too, showing the right amount of cleavage. Very flattering whether the bra is peeking from a top like I styled it here, ...or worn in the bedroom. Also, unlike many bralettes it doesn't flatten you. Which could be a problem especially for a girl who has boobs (like I do) but a lot of times clothes hide them. I am wearing the size L (large) in the bralette and size 26 (which is a size 2) in the jeans. They have enough stretching. I have worn them about a dozen times and they haven't stretched too much. I think the bralette runs slightly small and the jeans run pretty true to size but if between sizes, size down! Expect seeing these jeans and my top a lot more, on the blog and on Insta.

ABERCROMBIE  AND  FITCH.
...But the real star of this outfit is my New Marled Grey Oversized Tunic Button-Front V-Neck Top which I am wearing in a size small for a loose/wider fit, however the XS would fit just fine. You (and I both) may have seen this top or similar ones all over Instagram and on many popular bloggers this Fall. I love, love, love this Button-Front Henley Style Top. It can be worn as a blouse, as a cardigan, as a henley, layered or not. It can be worn by itself as a tunic or knotted in the front and I have shown it/worn it both ways that day (last Tuesday). Paired with some Real Leather White Perforated New Balance Sneakers, a Soft Leather Woven Butter Yellow Clutch, a few Millennial Pink Beaded Stretchy Bracelets, a Sparkly and Classic Black Bow Headband and my Ombre Pink/Maroon Tortoise Sunglasses, this ended up being the perfect, put-together and sightly-dressy athleisure look for a day off (the lip color, the clutch, the headband and my bracelets dressed it up a bit). BTW I bought both my jeans and top on sale and give or take the total for both was around 50 bucks. The bra is full price though (I have never seen them on sale and often they are excluded from promos). These lace bralettes are 20 bucks even and I do think they are worth every penny of the full price. I ended up taking the day off from work that Tuesday because my car stopped working and they thought it was the battery, albeit I'd find out later in the week that it was something else altogether. After spending a bunch of money to fix it and a few hours waiting while I drank a venti coffee at Starbucks, I was finally home and it felt like I wasted almost an entire day. Don't you hate days like that?! So, do you own this Infamous Henley Top by Abercrombie or a similar one?! I cannot find this online but check your local store. Also, Universal Threads at Target has a very similar top currently.

Face just washed and teeth just brushed, makeup-free however, right before drinking my first cup of coffee, early in the morning.

Thank you for loving my raw, open-hearted, heart-breaking yet beautiful poem I shared last week on Thursday Moda. I love it so much that you don't mind that I share some of my poetry, in here. I, on the other hand loved ALL of your looks. The Blondes killed it! I loved all the Fall Layering and those beautiful Long Camel Cardigans - perhaps I need one of my own?! LOL Also, the two Little Black Dresses a couple of the ladies shared (that I chose as favorites) definitely had edgy, dark, fun and stylish Halloween vibes, going. =)

This week's featured blogger is my friend ASHLEY from Le Stylo Rouge who has been blogging for years and has also joined my special Birthday Blog Party several times. There isn't a style, trend, decade or outfit Ashley can't pull off. For real. Like this time she linked this 80's Boss Babe Look and I see touches of both the 80s and the 90s in it. I absolutely love her Glen Plaid Pants - glen plaid is HUGE this season as we all know it. I love how she belted them with that sexy corset belt. The slouchy sweater tucked in worked, even-though both the pants and the sweater are loose, wider pieces. I love the very classy and chic monochrome grey outfit Ashley put together. It is indeed a boos babe type of look. But at the same time perfect for a dinner, holiday events, a business meeting and more. And those peep-toe pumps are killer with the red peeking from them. You should all follow Ash if you don't already. In over 2 years I have been running Thursday Moda, this is at least the 3rd time she has been the Special Featured Blogger plus many of her looks have been featured in my Thursday Moda Favorites.

That 'Black Lace Dress' can take Carrie to a lot of places and events for the upcoming holidays. I love how she dressed it up with the black and plum. Love her dot tights.
Fun mom Melissa is wearing a 'Cozy Cardigan'. I love the marled burnt orange - it is an unique color and perfect for Fall. Plus it matched her belt, purse and OTK boots perfectly.
Elegant Di shared her work outfits for 'Halloween Week' and this spider-print sheath was definitely the most festive Halloween-inspired outfit, especially paired with a pumpkin-shade purse.
Nina shared a very special post about 'Barbara's Favorite Things'. Her posts are always so enriching, great to read, full of history and story-telling. Plus this post is filled with great outfits like this cold weather one with the beautiful oversized turtleneck aqua sweater.
An 'An All Black Outfit + Olive Utility Vest' is very much Jill's style. She always does casual outfits so well and looks totally put-together. The metal statement necklace was a great addition.
Lisa's 'Work to Play Outfit' is 100% something I would wear. I wore a very similar work outfit this Fall except with loafers. Love all the camel and those pants are tres chic.

  2. I am totally digging this casual look today! So I've seen the bralette in stores and advertised but just feel like they wouldn't be supportive enough for a girl like me. Thoughts? It looks so cute and really casually sexy peeking out.
