Thursday Moda #136: Office-Style Dresses, 2 Bloggers - 2 Ways.

Welcome everyone! Hard for me to believe that it has already been 135 weeks that I have been running Thursday Moda and it has been a successful linkup for me, thanks to you all! Today is Linkup #136 and I am joined by my friend AMBER of Avec Amber. We are showing you two Office-Style Dresses. It is so suiting that Amber and I chose Office Styles today since we are both working professionals. Actually dear Amber has a very fun+interesting job and she always looks polished and professional for her office. For our office-style looks we both chose dresses. They are both Sheath Style Dresses and even-though mine is technically a Tweed Dress, it is mostly black so think of it as a "Two-ways to style a LBD post". I let my fabulous dress be the main event of my outfit, while Amber paired her sleek, elegant, asymmetric-neckline dress with a Classic Red Blazer and Classic Leopard Pumps. Red+Leopard are always a match made in heaven! We both chose fabulous black bags and a bold red lipstick!

 MY  TWEED  OFFICE-STYLE  DRESS.
I bought this Loft Tweed Sheath Dress just last week. Loft was having one of their sales where all dresses were $49.50 and I was able to use a coupon on top of that so I got myself a few work dresses. You will be seeing them all soon, on the blog. Lucky for you guys this dress is currently marked down and an additional 40% off so you may get it for even cheaper than I did. Loft always puts their stuff on sale so fast. You might have already seen my dress if you follow my Insta Stories as I showed some selfies of me wearing it and even a couple of live videos of it. This petite Loft dress which is a similar retro mini with pockets is a total steal at around 10 bucks. Also this peplum-hem dress which I also loved but didn't buy is on clearance right now. And last but not least they have a new similar boucle shift dress which is super chic, classic and a little retro. Loft's sister brand Ann Taylor currently has a couple of similar tweed sheaths too. There is this classic long-sleeve one which I love, this one with leather pockets and my favorite of all is this pink tweed sheath with fringed hem. As I said I let this Gorgeous Tweed Sheath be the main course of the meal (the outfit as a whole). I love the double nautical-style buttons on each side of the skirt and if you can see the sleeves up close, they are sewn so that they look like a tulip. I accessorized with two Pastel Enamel Bangles (soft peach and cream), a few little rings (nothing too bold), Maroon Iridescent Square Kate Spade Studs, a Classic Red Lipstick - my favorite red lipstick, the Audacious Red Nars, a Real Suede Fringe Hobo Bag (a couple of years old from Express) and a new pair of Classic Leather Black Pumps. I just bought my pumps at Macy's - currently their shoes are 30% OFF if you buy one pair or 40% OFF if you buy 2 or more pairs. They are the Marc Fisher Tuscany Pumps and they are classic but with a twist! I just love the little angled side off each side between the front and the back of the shoe. And they are comfortable and not very high. So how do you like my tweed dress and how I styled it for work?! Let me know in the comments.

Amber is also a newlywed and I must say her Getaway Wedding this May - my favorite month of the year - was breathtaking as it featured the stunning couple (Amber made the prettiest bride) and gorgeous views. Speaking of views, Amber's photo locations are always so pretty because of all the traveling she does. Besides her beautiful style (see the collage on the bottom of this post), Amber often blogs about her traveling like her recent travel log post as well as all the restaurants she visits, the amazing (and beautiful) food she gets to try and all the yummy eatery reviews. I love her designer bag and that both of our fabulous black bags (mine has a lot of fringe after all) and bold red lips make such a statement to our office dresses!

...Speaking of Office Looks, some of mine are very casual and laid-back (we can even do skinny jeans), but there are days when I totally have to dress up, look polished, professional and very chic. This was one of those days, with two big, important meetings and an important client. I am sure it is the same with Amber, as she 'saves' her more office-ready outfits for important professional days.

The selfies I snapped with my Samsung Galaxy (at work or in front of our Fall wreath) are seriously 10 times better than the full outfit photos snapped with a real camera. I need to start using my new camera one of these days. You can see my hair and makeup better too. Everything is so clear through the selfies and I didn't have to edit most of the phone ones.

The Breezy Pink Dress (and Vivian matching me) were a hit last week which I figured they would be since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so wear that pink! It was another successful linkup with over 90 blog posts entered. The looks I chose this week are so different from each-other just like the ladies wearing them but I love them for different reasons. Check them out below!

This week's featured blogger is PAULA from Sweet Pea who has been linking with me for months. This time around she linked the Stitch Fix Review for October post. Paula has been doing these Stitch Fix reviews every month. She gets a box from them each month and is so thorough with her reviews. Not only is she stylish but I think the Stitch Fix clothes suit her so much. This month in particular I loved both of these dresses she shared. I can see them working for at least 3 seasons and they both look great with the versatile neutral sandals. Paula's photos are usually by a pretty lake. I'd love to be on a boat next to her now reading with a cup of coffee in my hand. Her dog usually follows her on her fashion shoots so if you are a dog and a lake lover too, follow her. Well done, Paula!

No shock that Katie is doing another appearance in my blog. She actually shared two outfits I loved but with this 'Sequin Shimmy' skirt she stole my heart. I love it paired with the fun colorful art graphic tee.
'Is Kindness Difficult'?!That is the question my dear friend Shelbee poses in her post. It is a great read but even better her fun, edgy, fashionable layered look with cropped denim shorts paired with tights and stunning velvet embroidered OTK boots.
Another mama blogger, my friend Bo shared what she wore for a 'Keith Urban' concert. A little country yet totally modern, perfect for a mom and so chic. Everyone needs some tall cognac boots and a flattering long-sleeve off-shoulder dress.
Beautiful new mom Alexa said 'Hello October' in the prettiest button-front olive blouse paired with distressed white denim. And those silver brogues - stunning!

Today's Fabulous Thursday Moda Co-Host is Amber from Avec Amber
Just like myself, Amber who lives in Seattle, isn't just about polished office-wear like today's outfits. She wears tulle skirts, jeans, sweaters, booties and leggings. Below is a snippet of some recent favorites from her. Rocking those striped sweaters as well as the signature tan/nude sunglasses and I must say the buttery camel tones mixed with blue look fantastic on Amber, especially with her blue eyes. Last but not least can we say an Amen for all her beautiful designer purses!?

From Amber's Mouth:
