Little Striped Ruffled Romper and Fields of Flowers.

This Summer was the Summer of rompers, jumpsuits and skirts - lots and lots of skirts. By far the romper I wore the most however, was this Little Striped Ruffled Romper which is this Linen-Bend White  Romper with Baby Blue and Light Red Stripes, purchased on clearance at American Eagle. But I love the Oversized Ruffle Double V-Neck (front and back) and the little ruffle on the hem of the shorts. It makes it girly, flowy and fun. If I remember correctly, I wore this romper 4 times this Summer (though I only blogged it here) and even packed it alongside two other rompers for my July beach vacation.

LITTLE  STRIPED  RUFFLED  ROMPER.
This time I wore this Adorable Little Striped Romper with these Fuchsia Jelly Flower Sandals by Old Navy (bringing out the red and pink stripes from the romper) and the Stunning Circle Feather Earrings by Express. I love that I mixed it up a little with that Olive Green Crossbody Bag. My little Vivian joined me for a Mommy+Me date downtown Wixom, that day, after I picked her up from Summer School. She looked adorable mixing prints with her Colorful Sunflower Biker Shorts and American Flag Tank, rocking those Shimmery Pink Shades (by Disney) that matched her Shimmery Pink Jelly Sandals (by Target). She is my little flower among those flowers. Speaking of flowers, I loved seeing all the beautiful fields of flowers over Summer in all the beautiful cities we have visited this Summer. I especially have loved all the stunning, large hydrangeas - we have some of those in my front porch. But yeah I noticed this was the Summer of hydrangea in Michigan because all of our down-towns and different home gardens were blooming with them, as some of the photos today show, too.

The Blended Blog Asks, October - All Fall's Favorite Things.

This is the very last weekend of September and October is in just a couple of days. This weekend locally for us, we have the 34th annual pumpkin fest here in Michigan and it is a great pumpkin fest as all the local businesses go all out. I plan on taking Vivian there on Sunday and buying some Fall decor too. Stay tuned to my Instagram because I plan on posting there through stories.

1. Burgundy, always burgundy and any shade of wine. But this year I am falling hard for mustard and it doesn't help that I am seeing it everywhere lol.

2. I have only had it hot a couple of times. I love apple cider in general but I think I prefer it cold.

3. Yes of course. They are delicious especially if they are fresh.

4. Apple cider donut without any question. The cinnamon, brown-sugar-topped donuts are the best. There is no comparison in my book, especially if they are still warm.

5. I prefer a long cardigan cause I find them more versatile and easier to layer with and perfect for everyday wear. Plus long cardigans can be easily dressed up or down, but for the office or to wear over a dress, a short cardigan is great.

6. I don't know if I have a Fall favorite food. But I do like pumpkin pie though I don't care for pumpkin-flavored coffee drinks or other pumpkin desserts. I also love corn grilled on an open-fire, yummy. As far as a favorite Fall drink I like a little sweet-flavored beer with hints of pumpkin, berry or orange, like Blue Moon - delish!

7. A combination of both white and orange pumpkins and this year I have a few of both (small ones). For decor I also love cloth pumpkins and velvet pumpkins.

8. Yes, hayrides are fun but a bonfire is the best October through May.

9. I am not much a dessert person but my most favorite thing ever would be donuts from an apple orchard.

10. There are a few: visiting the apple orchards and picking up apples. Decorating for Fall (with lots of pumpkins) and since I became a mom Halloween too. I love taking Vivian out for Halloween to treat or trick and picking out a costume for her.

I actually plan on doing a Fall Home Tour this year and that will probably be blogged next Sunday on the first Sunday of October for "The Sunday Showcase" Linkup, so stay tuned. =) What are your favorite things to do and eat during Fall?!

Thursday Moda #134: My Sophisticated Jewel-Toned Birthday Outfit.

Happy Thursday Moda day - the last Thursday of September 2018. Gasp!! You know how I have been saying I have a lot, a lot of unblogged outfits from this Spring and Summer. Well, today is an example of that as I bring you the outfit I wore (all day) to my birthday and in case you were wondering -- that was on May 4th 2018, months ago. But I did pair these jewel-toned pieces (cropped paperbag-waist culottes and watercolor cap-sleeve blouse) recently again for another work-chic look, except I changed the accessories and wore purple tassel earrings, metallic penny loafers and carried a black leather bag instead.

MY  SOPHISTICATED  JEWEL-TONED  BIRTHDAY  OUTFIT.
But today, let's focus on my Very Sophisticated Jewel-Toned Birthday Outfit. My birthday this year fell on a Friday and this is the outfit I wore all day, from work and after (for a birthday dinner date). Let me talk about these Stunning Silk Navy Pants for a minute. These pants might have several trends in one piece: paperbag-waist, culotte style. But despite the current trendy piece they represent, they are very much a classic and classy pair of pants and ones I can see me wearing for a long time, despite the current trends of the moment be it 1, 5, 10 or 20 years from now. These pants are chic, modern, sophisticated and classy. The fact that they are navy, makes them even better in my eye. They are Tahari and I lucked out because I happened to find them on clearance. Now, let me tell you this style of pants: Cropped Paperbag-Waist Culottes is a style I have personally never tried or worn before, but I am in love. They looked splendid with the Watercolor Green/White/Black/Navy/Aqua Cap Sleeve Blouse by Express I have had for a long time. Of course with pants like these, you always have to tuck in the top, but an adorable cropped blouse, cropped camisole or cropped sweater would look great with them too. I chose my Suede Buckle-Embellished Pumps by Nine West to wear. I love that they are between a cobalt and royal purple. I also accessorized with Statement Pom Pom Black+Gold Earrings, a Black Beaded Bracelet, a Dark Red Glass Cocktail Ring and a Teal Folodover Clutch. I did a light smoky eye and kept my lips in a soft nude lipstick. Since it was my birthday I decided to do some loose curls, too. I think that I looked and felt like a million bucks. I must say when I love an outfit it shows, I even smile better. What do you think?!

Last week I was attracted to a lot of outfits that I would call "Street Chic Looks". I can totally see myself walking and then going to dinner, wearing any of the outfits below. A couple of the bloggers featured, did just that. I also loved the neutral patterns and those gorgeous neutral booties not one but two of the bloggers are wearing (see below). And who knew I would include not one but two rompers in today's favorites.

This week's featured blogger is my Californian buddy CHERYL from Cheryl Shops, someone I haven't followed even for a full year but whose blog and style I loved from a first peak. In one of her posts we had a preview of her short but amazing 2-day trip to Paris while in the other, just like myself, she opted for dressy cropped culotte pants. The first outfit featuring the adorable red-flower ivory skirt paired with white sneakers and a cozy waterfall jacket was perfect for strolling in Paris, while the second outfit can go for some walking, an office job, date night. I love pairing an all-black look with splashes of red and going for some stunning heeled mules and a bright scarlet lip, was the right choice for that pants' outfit (on the right). I love that Cheryl always mixes trendy affordable pieces like ones from Zara and H+M with beautiful high-end designer clothes. If you have to yet follow her, I suggest you do so!

Ruth got it covered just in one mini dress - 'Tweed and Tennis' and totally stylish. That is exactly how I would describe her retro-chic grey tweedy pocket dress paired with white sneakers.
My friend Amy looks adorable as a new mom sharing a black and white little Old Navy romper. It may be 'No More August' but in some states it is still very hot, so rompers with strappy sandals just like Amy's would be perfect!
Kellyann's 'Fall Kimono' is so attractive for this current season. I have never seen one quite like it. As always she has the best shoes and most stunning jewelry too. That necklace is a work of art!
Speaking of rompers again, though hers looks like a mini dress, Laura is 'Transitioning a Romper for Fall'. I like the versatility of a dress, romper or jumpsuit and Laura does too. Her greyish-taupe open-toe booties however - I am dying over!
