The Sunday Showcase Linkup, August 2018 - Jumpsuits and Vacation Style.

Welcome to another Sunday and it is the first Sunday of the month. I expressed in my first August post how flabbergasted I am that it is already August and look at it, its first week is almost gone! Today KELLYANN from This Blonde's Shopping BagCHRISSY from Granola and Grace and our beautiful and stylish stay-at-home-mom who is today's co-host STEPHANIE from Glamorous and Geeky are all hosting a new "The Sunday Showcase" and styling rompers or jumpers. I couldn't help but notice that not only is everyone wearing a great romper or jumpsuit, but also some similarities in our outfits. While the other three ladies jumpers are neutral, mine is in a Gorgeous Rich Royal Blue Color with White Poppy Flowers. Both Chrissy and Stephanie styled Navy+White Striped Jumpsuits and between myself, Steph and Chrissy we are all wearing Culotte-Style Jumpers, both mine and Stephanie's are cropped, also Stephanie and I are wearing our Black Slides with White Pearls. Chrissy dressed up her Classic Jumpsuit with Metallic Sandals, Beautiful Jewelry and a Summer Hat, just like I did. I loved Chrissy's outfit the most, she looks so glam yet casual and cool - pretty necklace and sandals. Both Chrissy and Steph found their cute jumpsuits at Target, also. Kellyann went for a cute, short, cheeky and Girly Little Black Romper (LBR). I love the white embroidery in Kellyann's romper and those cute Cute Platform Sandals (she even shows a classic black jumpsuit on her post).

I couldn't help but smile when I received the ladies' photos on my e-mail because of the coincidental similarities in our looks. Beautiful mama Stephanie is also sharing photos with her youngest boy in her post, just like I am sharing the spotlight with Vivian, today. Mama bears right here! I must say the two of us look totally put-together and cool for being busy moms to young kids! Stephanie is always put-together though she has her hands full with two young boys, one of which is a baby. Her oldest son is Vivian's age and they are both so cute!

Today's photos and outfits are from exactly a week ago, last Sunday when we were in our short West Michigan vacation. All the photos from today's post are taken from our Sunday Afternoon spent down-town Grand Haven and later on Sunday evening spent down-town Holland, Michigan. Both of these cities are so cute and as you can tell there are a lot of fun spots and places to take photos by. I will talk more about both Grand Haven and Holland in a couple future vacation posts but I must say between the gorgeous gardens, plenty of flowers, fountains everywhere, beautiful architecture, fun boutiques, unique buildings, the marina close by and even some graphic wall art, I seriously wanted to take a lot more photos but we didn't have a handy photographer the whole time. Actually most of these pics are snapped with my Galaxy phone by either Vivian or myself.

But let's focus on our outfits a little bit. I have added a few jumpers/jumpsuits and rompers this year to my closet, but this one is by far my most favorite one! I love the color, the print, the style and how flattering it sits on my body. I am a size small but still have curves and I am a little busty. This Gorgeous Blue Floral Culotte Jumpsuit is by the "A New Day" line at Target. And in case you are wondering my Black Pearl Sandals, Large Circle Straw Tote Bag, "Do Not Disturb" Floppy Summer Hat, as well as Vivian's Blue Fish Tassel Dress, her Heart Sunglasses, her Burgundy Tulle Flower Headband and Hair Clips are also from Target, because Target does it again - always! The Floppy Hat I purchased at the front dollar area at Target for either 3 or 5 bucks, but it is so well-made for the price. It is the only hat I brought for our vacation and wore it on a daily basis. Vivian's sunglasses were $1 from the dollar area as well. I also wore my White Frame Sunnies with Blue Mirror Glasses by Loft - I love their sunglasses so much. I mixed in some Beaded Handmade Bracelets by Hidden Beaded Treasures with 2 Lucite Bangles by "Cat + Jack" the kid's line at Target (I have tiny wrists). My Turquoise Beaded Anklet is also by Beaded Treasures. I also love how Vivian and I coordinated in our Blue+White Summer Patterned pieces - mine is a flower print and hers is a fish print. I love her little breezy dress so much, can I have it on my size?! Even our sandals sort of match. They are both black with jewels: mine have pearls, hers have multi-colored crystals.

These top 3 photos are from Down-Town Grand Haven. We fell in love with this little graphic art wall that was just in front of a parking lot. Those are some fun robots for sure. The graphic wall even went so well with Vivian's dress. That Poppy-Painted Colorful Mini Van is painted like that because it is from "Marushka" which is this unique boutique down-town Grand Haven that specializes in hand-painted t-shirts and sweatshirts designed and painted by local artists. The Red Poppy Design was so popular it became their 'theme'. How fun that my blue jumpsuit was also in a poppy print. I ended up purchasing my mom a Gray V-Neck Red Poppy Tee as a souvenir from the store and I purchased for myself a White Bird Sweatshirt. I couldn't find anything in Vivian's size, unfortunately. But I could have easily purchased so many t-shirts and sweatshirts from there. Loved all the graphic prints at Marushka.

Vivian's Outfit:

The 5 photos above are from Down Town Holland Michigan. I loved the flower pots everywhere and all the stunning metal sculptures they had everywhere. Vivian was in awe of them, especially the little children orchestra master-piece. They even had classical music playing by that beautiful sculpture of kids playing instruments. I love the photo I took of her by that orchestra sculpture. She looks adorable! Exactly like the curious child she is.

My Outfit:

As you all know I love color and bright colors for Summer are the way to go. That is why my favorites from last month's Showcase are bright, bold and colorful.
Nicole shows us a very stylish, put-together, office-way to wear 'Analogous Colors'. She has 4-5 shades of green that she is wearing and all done so stylishly, so easy, so polished. Love her satin 2-piece skirt set!
Elizabeth is wearing an easy Summer uniform featuring white skinny jeans and a pretty ruffled periwinkle blue top. She shows us her 'Americana Style' in a simple, put-together way. Staying stylish while keeping cool with that cute neutral woven hat!

  11. Thank you so very much for the feature! What a happy surprise! Your photos bring back fantastic memories - we stopped in downtown Holland a few years back on return from a weekend in Saugatuck. Such a charming town. And I'm a street art nut so loved the sculpture and graffiti you found. Your jumpsuit is adorable (as is your daughter)! Thanks again for the feature and a fabulous link-up!

I love exploring new cities but we haven't done it as much as I wish with the girls. I am hoping that travel is coming our way this year.
