Thursday Moda #114: Little Black Dresses.

Thank you so very much to ALL of you who wished me a Happy Birthday last week on Thursday Moda. It was such a successful linkup too, with over 160 entries! Today I am back with a look from late March that I had yet to share on the blog. I am co-hosting with my stylish friend NINA from A World of Dresses who also participated in my birthday blog party last week. Nina and I had scheduled to style little black dresses for today - and it was supposed to be Little Black Dresses for Spring - but I never got around to shooting photos with a LBD Springy look, though to tell you the truth it was early Spring when this Peplum-Hem LBD was styled despite our cold snow. Beautiful Nina styled a little black dress that can be dressed up or down. I love her flirty poses and knotted headband.

MY  LITTLE  BLACK  DRESS   STYLED  WITH  ALL  BLACK.
I love my LBD I purchased in the Spring of 2017 from Victoria Beckham's collaboration with Target. I ended up buying several of her dresses and the ones with the trumpet or peplum skirt hems were my favorites. Since it was cold and I was in conferences all day (like I was today in reality and arrived home from Cincinnati OH around 11.00 PM actually), I had to layer a little blazer on top and wear tights of course. But I went with a head to toe Black Monochrome Look and there is lots of texture on my outfit too: Perforated Peep-Toe Booties, Knit Cutout Tights, Scuba Dress and Velvet Blazer. Even my earrings are black but I am glad I went for bold+beautiful Flower Tulle Statement Earrings to play off the Calla Lilies on the front of my dress. Also, there is a touch of white and a touch of light green in this outfit. Don't my Green Sunnies perfectly match the green stem of the calla lilies?! How do you like this Monochromatic all-black Look of how I styled my LBD?!

As I mentioned at the beginning of this post there were over 165 posts linked last week on Thursday Moda and there were so many cute outfits you all. You made Thursday Moda a huge success!! Narrowing it down to these 6 was so very hard. All so different yet all so pretty! I love all the unique and stunning pants the ladies below are wearing.
Di shines in her 'Ankle Cropped Pants'. A sophisticated office look head to toe completed with a ruffled little clutch!
Ashleigh's maxi skirt with tears and pleats is indeed 'The Best Skirt for a Spring Wedding'. So pretty, soft, unique, dressy and glamorous plus in the color of the Millennium!
Samantha is 'Finally Letting Go... of BAD Clothes!'. There is nothing bad about those bright fuchsia pants with the tucked-in blouse and cute cognac oxford shoes. The pants are so sophisticated!
This 'Little Mauve Dress' is sexy coming or going on the gorgeous Shannon. The side boob cleavage is so hot on her and she chose the perfect shoes for it!
Yvonne is 'Mixing Patterns' fearlessly making the bold leopard skinny ankle pants work so well with the feather-stroke blouse.
Elyse is super 'Festive for Cinco de Mayo' in all of her coral tassels and embroidery. The balloon sleeves of her babydoll minidress are fun!

 Thursday Moda's Co-Host: A World of Dresses.
Nina has been living in Spain for a couple of years teaching English so her style has evolved as has her life fulfilled by her travels. She also owns and wears a lot of dresses - my kind of girl - therefore the name of her blog "A World of Dresses" suits her 100%. Below is just a snippet of some of my favorite dresses she has styled this year. In the collage there is another Little Black Dress she styled so nicely, albeit for cold weather. Make sure you follow her fun blog - you will love it!

From Nina's Mouth:
"Hi! My name is Nina and I am an American blogger living in Granada, Spain. I basically wear dresses 95% of my life and hence that's why I started this blog. Living in Europe allows me to blog about travel and the expat experience as well. This LBD is my newest addition. They always say every woman should have one LBD. I have at least 4."

  2. Ada, I love, love, love this dress! Not only because it is fabulous and you have styled it perfectly, but also because I have the same dress! And it has been hanging in my closet since last spring yet to be worn! Now I am inspired! I guess I need to style it soon in an Inspired By Ada post! Thanks for reminding that I have this fun dress in my closet!

  11. Ada, you look so pretty and elegant in this dress. I just love calla lilies, I had some in my bouquet (with pale orange roses) for my fall wedding. I also just love the ruffled edge of the dress. Have a beautiful Mother's Day!

  12. I have the sweatshirt version of this dress—I love the calla lily print on the front! I also had a moment of panic on your behalf when I saw the snow on the ground, but glad to hear the photos are from March! :)
