Thursday Moda #107: Transitioning Denim into Spring, from Day to Evening.

HAPPY  THURSDAY  MODA!

Today, I am joined by BOJANA from Bo's Bodacious Blog and we are styling Denim pieces from day (Bo's look) to Evening (my look) as we transition into Spring. We are styling denim in two completely different ways. Bojana who is a mama to two young girls and around the same age as me is originally from Serbia (a neighbor country to Albania), living in the cold Northern Canada. Bojana is not only super stylish and a mom on a budget like myself, but she is also so sweet and for me personally she always leaves the sweetest and funniest comments on my Instagram posts. Clearly as you can see when we wore and shot these outfits, both of us had snow on the ground. Bojana's denim piece is a very versatile, classy and preppy Chambray Shirt (every woman needs a chambray button-down) which she knotted so cutely and paired with her beautiful Olive Green Pleated Skirt. But I truly love, love her accessories. Her Blush Shoes and Blush Crossbody Bag are both stunning and I want that bag! Upon noticing our outfits I saw how Bo's Outfit is perfect for daytime, it can take you to the office, lunch and even into the evening, for cocktails with friends. My outfit on the other hand is more suited for the evening or date night or a fun weekend spent with girlfriends or a significant other. The denim piece I styled is Black Skinny Jeans which just like the Classic Chambray Shirt, everyone should own a pair of. I too chose a Beautiful Laser-Cut Envelope-Shaped Nude Crossbody Bag which is new by 'A New Day' from Target.

MY  DENIM  SPRING  TRANSITIONAL  EVENING  LOOK.
You guys this Spring Transitional Black-on-Black Look is my favorite outfit I have worn this year, on a year that is already filled with many cute looks I have loved. I think it ties for my favorite 2018 outfit so far, with this other Black Monochromatic Look featuring a Romper and a French Beret. I truly love today's look because it is simple, chic, edgy, fun and put-together. I also felt fantastic in it and it helps that I wore it what I consider the best day of 2018 this year. It was definitely a special Saturday spent in Detroit and I wish I'd have shot these photos in Detroit instead but I just felt awkward asking my friend for a shoot, though a couple pics should have been captured there. Oh well, next time. I think I also love this outfit because I felt great in it which I mentioned it when I first posted it on both my Facebook and Instagram a couple of weeks ago, right after wearing it, and your response was so positive. This outfit was so well-received. This in my opinion is a no-fail Mom Babe Look and even-though it is more suited for the evening or a fun day with girlfriends or your man, due to that stunning Black Tulle Top with Embroidered Flowers (love the High Puffy Shoulder detail on the sleeves), it is also casual enough to wear during the day as a busy mom, running errands, for a lunch date and such. My Gorgeous Floral Embroidered Blouse (with light pink flowers) is by 'Who What Wear' at Target and I cannot find it online but check your local store. My Skinny Denim is ; Wit and Wisdom' Ab-Solution from Nordstrom and now that I have lost some excess pounds and with my flattened tummy, these jeans look even better on me. These ankle-jeans paired well with my Ankle Black Leather Booties. I also wore my Light Black Puffer Jacket by Loft. And to match the Light Pink Flowers on the top, I selected the Gorgeous Blush Nude Crossbody Bag, my Nude/Taupe Loft Sunglasses - my most favorite pair, Light Pink Crispin Statement Earrings and my Rose Gold Druzy Dainty Elisa Necklace with a Pink Lip. As a matter of fact I loved this outfit so much, I even wore it the next day. I totally felt all sorts of things in this outfit: sexy, fun, edgy, pretty, girly, mom babe, sweet and a little bad-ass too. Hope you like today's Denim Look too.

I am also wearing a Black Lace Bralette underneath my Tulle Top (which comes with the black cami). My bralette is from Abercrombie and I love the Scalloped Racerback detail. So sexy and fun!

 Thursday Moda's Co-Host: Bo's Bodacious Blog.
Today's Thursday Moda Co-Host is a Fabulous and Funny Mama who is also Eastern European like me, BOJANA from Bo's Bodacious Blog. This fellow brunette mama lives in Canada where the Winters are even more brutal and snowy than where I live, but clearly she doesn't let that ruin her cute, practical, feminine and very put-together style. Just like in today's post, Bojana wears a skirt very well, be it mini, pleated, midi or a pencil skirt. She owns a lot of great skirts too which she always styles perfectly. But she also looks great in put-together casual or athleisure looks. Check out a snippet of 3 of my favorite looks of hers from recently.

From Bojana's Mouth:
"My name is Bojana and I am the woman behind bosbodaciousblog.  I am a 35 year old woman who wears many hats throughout the day; a mom to two tween girls, a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, friend, teacher, early years childhood and literacy consultant, and fitness enthusiast,  just to name a few.  I began blogging in 2016 when I suddenly found a little breathing room in my day after years of working full-time, doing a masters degree and raising little people.  I suddenly had the urge to rediscover who I was beyond being a mom and teacher.  I wanted a  creative outlet  and discovered that I loved sharing my real life with a little dress-up fun on the side.  Creating looks that are functional for everyday women, with everyday budgets, was like a blank canvas that I have the opportunity to paint everyday.  Hop over to my blog, or follow me to see my daily outfits that are trendy,  affordable and functional,  while also getting a glimpse of my little family that isn't perfect BUT is always honest, realistic, and full of love and laughter.
