Thursday Moda #101: Daytime to Nighttime Valentine's Day Looks - a Collaboration.

Welcome to the Thursday Moda linkup. It is freezing out, freezing! This February we have had snow falling every single day. But that is nothing compared to what's coming on Friday, I am hearing 8 to 10 inches. Brrr! Today's post is a collaboration among me and my blogging friends - most of which participated last week on the 100th Special Giveaway Thursday Moda Post. By the way, I will be announcing the $200 Target Giveaway Winner on Monday February 12th, so stay tuned. Today, my blogging babes and I have decided to do a "Day to Night "type of post featuring the same piece for both of our outfits and how we would style it for Valentine's day during the day and later on for the night. I ended up loving our outfits for this special VDay Collab.

DAYTIME  VALENTINE'S  DAY  LOOKS.
NIGHTTIME  VALENTINE'S  DAY  LOOKS.
Everyone nailed it. I love how no one looks very saturated and super Valentine-sy if you know what I mean. I couldn't help but notice how many of us wore pants. And look at all those cute Oversized Pom Beanies some of us chose for the Daytime Looks! Monica and Kellyann both styled their Red Cropped Pants and I went the bright route too with my Bright Purple Cropped Pants. Also mine and Monica's daytime outfits are practically the same, except I have on my Nude Suede Pumps and she has on Black Mules. And speaking of shoes, for the nighttime looks, the majority of us wore pumps to dress up our outfits with! For better details, check out everyone's looks in the collages above.

PURPLE  PANTS  FOR  THE  DAYTIME.
You guys loved that I wore purple last week for my Special 100th linkup when I paired the Purple Tulle Midi Skirt with my Red Draped Camisole. You requested that I wear purple more and I must say after red, purple is probably the color I love the most on me. So I followed your advise and today I am styling my Newish Purple (a rich+beautiful shade of Magenta actually) Velvet Ankle 'Pixie' Pants by Old Navy. And I normally wear a size 4 in Pixie Pants but these are a size 2 and they are slightly big. The small victories, guys. Though I will be honest, Old Navy's sizes always vary. I happen to love the color purple for Valentine's day. I also love pinks (from the brightest pink to the softest blush hue), ivory or white and of course red as Valentine's colors. So for this daytime office look I paired the magenta purple with ivory, several splashes of hot neon pink and a touch of red, since the graphic star in my wool sweater is indeed red. I actually wore this exact outfit to work this Monday. My work environment and personal office is quite cold so at times I keep my scarves and hats or beanies on the whole time I am working and that was the case this Monday. Plus, I am sure you can see the icy snow on the ground, it has been so cold. I will be honest with you my daytime look is pretty dressy, especially since I wore my purple pants with Nude Pumps. But I also think the Oversized Scarf and Cute Fair Isle Beanie make it fun and youthful.

PURPLE  PANTS  FOR  THE  NIGHTTIME.
This evening look with the Purple Velvet Pants turned out sexy, sophisticated, feminine and beautiful. Almost the same exact color palette as the daytime outfit: purple on the bottom and ivory on the top with touches of red and black (and a little rose gold via my clutch). This Mixed-Prints Floral+Windowpane Pussybow Sheer Chiffon Blouse and the Pointy Redish-Pink Patent Leather Pumps have both been in my closet for over a decade. They still look as good as new. But I bet the two things you noticed the most here are my Black Fishnet Socks and my Blush Pink Feather Statement Earrings (mine are new from Loft but sold out; these are similar) because they both make a huge impact and also totally fancy up this look for the evening. Since it is an evening ensemble I opted for just a nude bra underneath. But you can totally wear this outfit to work with a camisole underneath the blouse or a blazer/cardigan over it. I totally love how this nighttime sexy yet elegant look turned out. Which of the two is your favorite way I styled my Velvet Purple Pixie Pants, today?

Last week was by far the largest and most successful Thursday Moda post yet. So thank you so much to over 160 of you amazingly-stylish ladies who made the special 100th Thursday Moda a success! There was a $200 Target giveaway with that linkup too which ended today and I will announce the special winner on my blog this coming Monday so stay tuned! Of course, after so many outfits linked I had a hard job narrowing it down to 5 top favorites, but here they are.

Brittany's 'Valentine's Day Outfit Ideas' include the brightest and coziest neon+sorbet oversized cardigan, distressed boyfriend jeans and fuchsia bow mules. So fun!
Maria has the edginess street-chic style down pat in this post featuring 'All Black Casual Outfits'. Her chiffon black midi skirt, combat boots and simple "LOVE" graphic sweater are great together.
Darlene's midnight blue ensemble includes such a pretty 'Sheer Mesh Top' with floral applique. Love her classic pumps with this.
Shauna is the 'Queen of Hearts' in this red heart blouse. Sometimes the simplest outfits need just a tad of pizzazz and a splash of bright red, like Shauna shows us.
Nancy nailed 'The Plaid Blazer Trend' belting hers with with a wide corset-style black belt and turning it into a modern, sophisticated and quite edgy mini dress.
