A Satin Dress and a Leather Moto Jacket.

This is not the first time I have worn a Dress with a Moto Jacket, a pretty fancy dress nevertheless. It is a look I have tried several times and I love it. It is true+tested for me. I wouldn't call it a 'uniform' for me since I don't wear it as often as "one of my uniforms" but once again it is a look I have tried several times (work, brunch, date nights and even weddings) and I have loved it. I wore this outfit last week and it wasn't as cold as the photos show. The pictures were taken in the morning before I went to work and before the rain, which also melted the last of the snow. I am glad to report that the temperatures have been rising up since the day these photos were taken. They have gone from the mid 30s to early 40s, late 40s and today they were as high as 56 degrees.

A  SATIN  DRESS.
This Purple Satin Dress is by The Limited, from a few years ago ,but has been sitting in my closet with tags (God knows why). It is a simple style but so classy and feminine. I love the open scoop neck. The satin material definitely is dressy which can take this dress from a casual / not conservative office environment to a fancy dinner. I paired the dress with the Triple Rossette Satin Brooch that a friend of mine made for me and it can be worn on your hair too. I love the jewel tones of the brooch and that it is the same material as the dress. I also think this dress paired nicely with the Bourdeaux Velvet Mary Jane Shoes by the Who What Wear line at Target. Purple and Burgundy come from a similar color family. And look at me mixing textures: velvet, satin and leather - no big deal!

A  LEATHER  MOTO  JACKET.
Every woman should own a Black Leather Moto Jacket (in real or faux leather whichever you prefer). Mine is a Vegan Leather and it is known as the "Life Changer" Moto Jacket by the popular Blank NYC brand that can be found at Nordstrom. My identical jacket I cannot find online but Blank NYC has over a dozen black leather moto jackets right now which are similar. Like this laceup one in faux leather (great deal) or this beauty in real leather (on sale). I do believe a Black Leather Moto Jacket like mine should be considered a life-changer. It has to fit well and even if it is a vegan leather make sure it is well-made and not cheaply-made or cheap-looking. It is one of those items you should invest at least 70 bucks for. Oh and it looks great over a dress for that mix of sweet+girly with edgy+tough.

  10. Feminine meets edgy! Love this look and your satin dress is gorgeous. Not only is the color lovely but the style of it is so chic - the sleeves, the neckline and the shirted waistline. Perfect! I agree. A moto jacket is a wonderful addition to any wardrobe and I added one to mine recently. I love how it elevates an outfit without even trying. I hope you are doing well Ada. Happy Friday and have a great weekend!

  13. This is because a burka is usually a loose fitting garment and this is the reason why a tartan that is too big will look uncomfortable and not very comfortable. For more info about burka dresses, visit here.
