Thursday Moda #80: Navy Embroidered Dress for Fall.

I cannot believe today marks the 80th Thursday Moda linkup for me and it has been strongly going for over a year and a half now. Anyway, when wearing this Navy Embroidered Dress I did celebrate with a glass of rosé, the very same day I actually wore this pretty dress in real life (which was this past Sunday). Before Summer is completely over and while it still gets dark later, I am trying to use up my free afternoons as much as possible by visiting quaint little towns or beautiful down-towns and I did just that on Sunday afternoon. You might have even seen a peak of this dress and me sipping my rosé on my Insta Stories - please do follow to see what I am up to on the daily.

THE  DRESS.
My Navy Embroidered Dress is a Cotton Knit (like a thick jersey) and I think the semi-thick material, 3/4-sleeves and knee-length style makes it perfect for Fall. I purchased it a few weeks ago when Loft had them for $19.88, but with some coupons and other discounts it came down to 14 bucks so I purchased this dress and 3 more all for $14 each - score! You can still find this dress online and in some stores at Loft for the same price I found it when I bought it, but I would suggest you try it on since it is Final Sale. It runs big and I am wearing an XS. Because of the empire tie-waist, this would be great for maternity as well as postpartum bodies, too. While I am wearing the dress as a boat-neck, it can also be worn off shoulders.

THE   EARRINGS  AND  SUNGLASSES.
I believe that when getting dressed, little details always matter. My Cute Pastel Peach Enamel Flower Stud Earrings were purchased several years ago at H+M, but I found very similar ones by Kate Spade (mine are like a peach and these are white) and they are a great deal -  and the best part is how well my little flower studs match the flower motif embroidered on the pretty dress. The sunglasses are like an Ombre Gold and they are aviators. They were purchased on a whim, tax-free on one of my travels, at the airport. The sides of the glasses are in a python skin and they totally look like Raybans. You can shop very similar aviators.

THE  BAG  AND  SHOES.
I can't say I have paired olive green with navy much but I must say I like it A LOT, especially when you add a goes-with-everything nude color to the mix. Olive+Beige+Navy makes a great trio for Fall. So my Olive Crossbody Saddle Bag has been in my closet since Spring of 2016 and I love it. It is from Target and they currently have another gorgeous olive option in sort of that worn-in leather with a fun braid detail, but I also love the olive bag I linked in my widget collage. While the sneakers were also purchased at Target, albeit only a few months ago and I have worn these sneakers many times over the Summer. They are by the brand Mad Love and they are in beige (mine), black or white. I really want the black pair too. I cannot suggest them enough. They are super cute, super comfy and seriously go with anything. They gave my pretty, sort of girly and a little bohemian dress, a sporty appeal, for sure. Loved how this outfit turned out, what about you?! And if you caught my post yesterday you saw another casual way I wore a dress for early Fall pairing white with cranberry, cognac and mauve. I will show you more ways to wear dresses for Fall this weekend and all next week, too.

THIS  WEEK'S  FEATURES.
Last week about 105 outfits were linked. Some Summer styles, some Fall outfits and some in-between looks as well. Coincidentally, three of the four bloggers from the second collage were the first ones to link up with me, last week. As you can see my heart went all over the place as these outfits are completely different but all truly cute and stylish. Enjoy!
This week's featured blogger is the lovely mama BOJANA of Bo's Bodacious Blog who is a mother to two young girls (as you can see above), that could pass for twins. Not only did Bojana link the prettiest LWD with bell sleeves in her back to school post but she also shared the two adorable outfits that her two beautiful daughters wore on their first day of school. I love that each of their personalities show and they promise to have a future as fashion bloggers just like their mom. As if this post wasn't all kinds of cute already, Bo's bohemian-pretty little white dress has navy embroidery which matches the navy+white espadrille wedges she paired it with. It is a great early Fall outfit. Bo blogs from cold Canada so I love that she is hanging on to warm Summer days as much as she can. Her blog features very wearable yet super stylish mom looks that moms from late 20s to early 50s can wear. I also had her as "The Featured Blogger" a little earlier this Summer. Make sure you stop by her lovely blog, today.

Jen who is a stay-at-home mom of 5 wore a 'Navy and White' tie dye cute dress with a little cognac thrown in. Leggings under skirts+dresses were all over the runaways this September and Jen looks adorable in hers.
'Breaking the Rules' all she wants, but I seriously want everything that Katie wears. This stunning floral blouse is uniquely divine in print, style, cut and everything else.
Grace's 'Easy Labor Day Outfit' mixes neon orange, sunshine yellow and chalk white with cascading rainbow tassels for a sunny day off that I am sure was as bright as her look.
Kristina's 'Newchic Summer Dress' is navy with bold light pink flowers all over it. The white tasseled hoops and gold thong sandals gave it that Grecian Goddess appeal.

Have a Happy Thursday Everyone! It is almost the weekend!! ;-)

  20. Ada, first off I just wanted to thank you for the beautiful tribute, you made my week
(and I really needed it). Thank you.

Now, that dress and this combo are divine. Great snag on that navy dress, I could totally see it being a great transitional little piece, tights and booties. I just love the little embroidered flowers, it makes me somehow always yearn for the Mediterranean sea. Hope your family have a lovely weekend.

  24. Fabulous dress Ada! I love the high neckline and how the red and white embroidery stands out against the navy. When it gets colder it'd look great with tights and ankle boots.
